Whoever wore this must be a fan, and must be familiar how the Stevie fanbase works.

Well, I think step 1 would be to listen to the voice- ideally starting from the Wild Heart era and earlier. Give it a chance. It's not the most beautiful voice in an obvious way- it is definitely an acquired taste that gives off new meaning upon repeated listenings. It's a complex, passionate, subtly soulful voice that trails off into unusual melismatic territory at times. It is as sweet as honey one moment or as rough as sandpaper at others. There is tension in the voice, with a vibrato that is not unlike the dissonance created by an untuned piano. And the voice, combined with the hauntingly vague imagery of her words, creates a surreality that transports the listener away from this world for a while- to a land where doves swoop around firelit rooms that create shadows on fog-shrouded castle walls while ghosts chant their haunted songs.

Okay... I've had way too much coffee this morning.

"Several of her finest songs, like Silver Springs, were B-sides to Fleetwood Mac radio hits."

Several?

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

LOL...I actually agree with every word I've always had a thing for voices like hers. She can practically lull me into a trance when she speaks or sings. I can remember being about 4 years old and listening to her sing and getting chill bumps. I don't know what it is or why I have reaction...I also love to listen to people speak when they have a cold. Anyway, in the early, early days, her voice was especially beautiful (example: the Nomad aka Candlebright demo with her and Lindsey is one of the most gorgeous things I have ever heard), but I am definitely one of those people who can truly appreciate the way her voice has changed since then...some may not like it...but it gives me chill bumps to this very day

It sucks that SS has never been played on the radio. I have heard it only once on XM Radio, but as for mainstream, no. Most of their hits were Christine's songs, radio/single-wise,: Don't Stop, Over My Head, Think About Me, Say You Love Me, You Make Loving Fun...
