Default Crescent Moon ?

Hey everyone... I was gonna post this in the Wild Heart ring thread, but saw that the thread was closed. Btw, thats probably the most awkward thing i've read in awhile.

Anyways: I, like so many others, am being Stevie for Halloween, does anybody know where I can find a crescent moon necklace that looks similar to the one Stevie sports that isnt ridiculously expensive.

I have found the gorgeous imitations for over 100 dollars, but I am a college student on a budget, so I was looking for something more like fifty...

Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks, Addison

Barbara has a $50 on Enchanted Mirror if you want to risk it... it's sterling silver:
http://stores.enchantedmirror.com/-s...vie/Detail.bok

Otherwise, I would try eBay or etsy.com

Sorry you felt the Wild Heart Ring thread was awkward. I didn't intend for it to go that far.

I would totally recommend Camias Designs, I've never heard a bad word about Kelly who hand makes all the jewellery. I have a crescent moon from her and it arrived quickly (I'm in the UK) and is beautiful. I wear it all the time, plus it really does look like Stevie's.

http://www.camiasdesigns.com/

This is a direct link to the crescent moons themselves, you can get them made in silver, gold or white gold but the gold ones are more expensive. The silver one is $32.50 without the chain, which isn't too bad I think.

How big are they? They look relatively small which is what i was going for... I want to be able to wear it again casually and not have it look ridiculous?

Thanks for your help, as well

It is small, about 3 cm long or about an inch and a half in length. I'd say it's around the size Stevie wears herself. I wear it casually all the time.

Edit: I hope Jazzy doesn't mind me using this picture but you can see the size of the crescent moon in this photo, although Jazzy's is extra special because it is "bejewelled".

I have one from Camias as well and it's not too big at all. I've been wearing it for about 4 years now, have never taken it off and it still looks fine.

I remember them being cheaper back then though...

Mmmh as I read one time online try Wiccan online stores also or maybe a new age store. I myself don't wear a crescent moon but I want to get a pentagram with the moon phases around it. Although I love her crescent moon necklace especially the one like I lanyard (I think) not sure how to describe it i've only seen it once.

It's coming the first week of October. SO excited. I have the black platforms now and I'm just waiting for the velvet legwarmers, the double chiffon skirt and a black, low backed leotard with chiffon sleeves added.

So, we'll see pics of this costume right? I can't wait to see how it turns out.

of course I don't mind...I'm loving that picture right now.

AddieJean - I think Camia's are actually the closest to Stevie's you can get. the size is almost perfect. it's beautiful and light and very affordable. you'll really enjoy it. I wear mine every day...I only bring out the bejeweled one for special occasions.
