If you've got The Soundstage Sessions then you must have heard Fall From Grace, one of the best racks on Trouble in Shangri-La. The only slightly dodgy track is That Made Me Stronger, otherwise it's all good!

I agree. It's actually one of my favourite Stevie albums, certainly the best thing she's done since the early 80s.

TISL is one of my favorite Stevie albums (one of my favorite albums period). Every song has this deep story to it. You can really feel her pain through some songs (ie: Love Is). A lot of the songs are really catchy and what I like is that they all don't sound the same. On some albums, for me, the songs sound so similar. You kinda go into a fog listening to it. For me, TISL shakes it up and kinda keeps me on my toes! Also, for me, there's always at least one song I skip. I don't skip any songs on this album. Get it! You'll really enjoy it!

I lovvvvvvvvve it
It never leaves my car...and I've got it on my computer and ipod, of course. There isn't a single song on it that I don't love...how many albums can you say that about??? Right now I would say that I have a preference for "Love Is" (its just so beautiful and telling) but my favorite track overall is Fall From Grace because its so kick @ss. I was a little skeptical of It's Only Love when I first heard about it because it was written by Sheryl and for some reason I always have this irrational avoidance at first of anything of Stevie's that has Sheryl in it (I think because she seems a little obsessed with Stevie)...but even that was realllllly gorgeous! |

The album is outstanding, I think-- especially the first 4 and the last 4 songs. Imagine the modern edge of her SYW songs but (generally) lyrically and musically at a whole new level. I LOVE it.

I like TISL, but I don't think it's that great. ^Those statements might be because I kind of like raw Stevie without lots of instruments around. Sometimes it's nice to just zone out with her voice and piano.I prefer the '70s piano demo of "Planets of the Universe" over the version on the album. I prefer "Nomad" and "Sorcerer" from the Buckingham Nicks-era over the version on the the album ("Candlebright" = "Nomad"). I prefer the demo version of "TISL" over the version on the album. However, I love love love "Love Is" and "I Miss You" and I actually kind of like "Too Far From Texas" I know it's not a favorite among most, but I kind of like it!

dont want to piss anybody off...but i think i listened to it once and shelfed it..i think it is waaaayyyy over produced..it sounds nothing like her other material..i mean musically..i love the song lyrics of most of the songs but bella donna, wild heart sound so rough.... they just played, sang and recorded..the way it should be..rock a little got a little "trying to sound like mainstream" OSOTM was like her older stuff..love most of it..although a few odd tracks and i dont think "rooms on fire" was the best choice for a first single..i would have done "ooh my love"..." long way to go" or "ghosts"..."street angel"...a mess..but still some good material on that and i have said before..stevie could sing the "abc's" and "mary had a little lamb" and i would buy it...BUT TISL??? i just think its a weirdly overproduced (by cheryl crow..who i do love as well...but i wish she stayed w/iovine) and lacked the authentic sounding stevie nicks that i have always loved and still do..i am a loyal fan and i accept her wanted to change things...but wat i would do to go back to 1983 and watch her perform..i think that was the best show i ever saw and i probably have seen close to 2000 concerts in my 47 yrs on earth
