If, by the end of the show Reva and Josh are not together, I am going to be soooooo unhappy!!!! I just don't see how they could end the show any other way...they HAVE to be together!

It was rushed but I still bawled. I actually liked the Reva/Josh driving away past the lighthouse, very appropriate and they are back together so you should be happy! I figured the Mindy/Rick thing would happen, and I'm glad all the characters are settled. Although the most poignant moment for me came yesterday when Fletcher walked through the door for Alex. I was never a big fan of his character but I thought that was a great throwback to the heydey of GL for me (the early 90's when the show was dominated by Roger/Holly/Ed/Blake/Ross/Fletcher/Alex). It's been a hell of a 72 years, no storyline will ever go on that long again. I hope there is some sort of best of DVD release. "This has been Guiding Light."

Was Flectcher the grey haired dude? It was great to see Mindy again. I always thought she was the most beautiful girl on the show. She hadn't changed much at all. Actually I was surprised how little she (Mindy), Josh and Blake had changed in looks over time. A few questions: 1. Was Blake, Roger Thorpe's daughter? And didn't he also have a son? 2. Were any of the Bowers shown this last week except Rick? Remember the doctor and the lawyer? 3. What about the Chamberlands? Did Vanessa make an appearance? 4. What about Ross Marler(SP?)? And for the record Ialways thought Reva was too old for Josh. And that dress she wore at the end of the show didn't do her any favors. |

If my husband had come home while I was watching it he surely would have thought something tragic had happened seeing as I was crying so much. Its sad that its over of course but the only thing I really cared about was R&J...I'm beyond happy that they are back together. I'm going to miss them.

It's raining here for the first time in weeks! It's Minnesota though, and September, we could be having snow. It's been beautiful here the last couple weeks though, in the '70s and sunny. We have such a short summer, it's nice to extend it into September.

It was just before dawn
one miserable morning in black 'forty four When the forward commander was told to sit tight when asked that his men be withdrawn. And the generals gave thanks as the other ranks held back the enemy tanks for a while And the Anzio bridghead was held for the price of a few hundred ordinary lives. And kind old King George sent mother a note when he heard that father had gone. It was, as I recall in the form of a scroll, with gold leaf and all. And I found it one day in a drawer of old photgraphs, hidden away. And my eyes still grow dim to remember His Magesty signed with his own rubber stamp. It was dark all around there was frost on the ground when the Tigers broke free. And no one survived from Royal Company C. They were all dead, the rest of them lay dying. And that's how the High Command took my daddy from me. Last edited by iamnotafraid; 09-22-2009 at 03:34 PM.. |
