Default My first vinyl!

Hey everyone,

Well, I finally got the long awaited and hunted for turntable today and I of course went and had a rummage for some celebratory records, with vinyl Stevie/Lindsey/FM at the top of my list...

I already have excellent copies of Rumours and Tusk (which I can now actually play!) and I was going to limit myself to only buying Bella Donna on vinyl for the moment (because of course I could blow loads on getting everything!) but while looking for that...there was Rock A Little for the fantastic price of £2 (about $1.60) - fantastic! The sleeve is slightly damamged but never mind, it plays well.

I also got a copy of my favourite Emmylou Harris album (Quarter Moon In A Ten Cent Town) for a similar price and I am amazed, it sounds SO much better than the cd! I'd always heard that vinyl sounds better but I was never sure until now. D'oh!

Other purchases included an early Kylie album, Enjoy Yourself, (haha!) and Jackson Browne, Running On Empty.

Now I can't wait for saturday and my planned day of record shopping and beers in town with my best mate, what a way to spend a day...

I'm jealous! I've wanted a turntable for a while but I haven't gotten around to finding one...... the worst part is that Buckingham Nicks is hung up on my wall and totally staring me down. I think it would be even better on vinyl.

Buckingham Nicks is on my list of ones I must buy! It's a bit more expensive though considering that I usually scoure charity shops and get great vinyl in good condition for a couple of pounds each! No ebay postage, haha! Just kidding, I'm not that cheap...I'll pick it up soon.
