I got that book when it came out. Can't help you much though because
I haven't even read it yet (just like STORMS.......still waiting to be read).

I don't think there's been a good biography written about Stevie yet.

I could of written a better book then the lines book. Without even trying. I can't really remember if there were any good pics. All of the info in that book was already common knowledge, so I assume she didn't get any unqiue pics that you haven't already seen around here.

I have a copy but haven't read it--I found it at a discount booksellers for less than $3 bucks. I figured for the price it was probably worth it but I wouldn't pay any more for it than that.

Woopsie! Not if you write "could of " in it.

I have the "Lines" book and it's a good starting place for newbie Stevie fans. The alternatives were the lousy Wintcensen offering and the Ochs and Vare bio.

Sorry but I have very little positive to say about this book.
The writing is literally on the third-grade level, as said above there's
very little out there that's not easily available elsewhere, and in my
personal opinion she doesn't actually "get" Stevie.
She THINKS she does - but she doesn't. Not even close, i.m.o.

For Stevie's 65 birthday she should present us with the autobiography
we've been waiting for. If she waits much longer than that, who's going
to care???

i agree she should write us something about her life~ i would love something about her from her words~ but i'm not sure we'll see it or a movie about her~ remember on the "chris isaak show" she said that there wouldn't be a movie anytime soon?~ she said something about there being a movie about ray charles & then he died & she didn't want that happeneing to her~

Well, I have the book "Everything You Want To Know" by Ethlie Ann Vare and Ed Ochs and the acknoledgements mentions alot of famous names and thank you's to Stevie's many friends and coworkers so I guess that this book is a half-biography about Stevie. Sure we would like to know something about Stevie written by herself but I think we already know a good bit about Stevie when reading or listening to all her interviews. I mean what do you really want to know?? About how many men she has dated?? And how she felt when being on road the whole time?? I think this is something we all already know....
