Default Heavy Rotation on a "mix" Station

I could not believe I was listening to Peacekeeper on Baltimore's Mix 106.5. This station plays the top 25 of today and yesturday. After the song the DJ promoted the release date and said a few words.I called the station to thank them for playing the song before the album goes to no.1 and sells millions of albums. She said the song will be in heavy rotation. This is excellent.

Glad to hear it's on some station-I've yet to hear it on any DC station! I'll try 106.5=:-)

Default hey Vianna..

"Peacekeeper" is being played on 97.1 in the D.C. area. Last week, I even heard it on the Classic Arrow 94.7 - surprised me, since they usually only play classic rock..

p.s. a co-worker actually told me she heard it this morning on 97.1... which I thought was cool.. It seems to be making some inroads in airplay. Good to see Baltimore rockin' to the song!

Default well...

They're playing the hell out of "Peacekeeper" here. It's on almost every station I can think of, sans the only oldies/classic rock stations. Here's a list that comes to mind right now:
  • 97.7- plays new underground, more artistic music, mixed w/ the classic rock (plus they're giving away tickets all this week)
    97.3- plays primarily today's music
101.3- is a mix station that plays today's music
    94.5- lite rock station

I'm talking heavy rotation on every one of these stations! All the djs talk about it afterward, and no one has anything bad to say about it. It's giving me so much hope that a lot of people will really pay attention to this album.

Question Hmmm. . .

so would you consider Peacemaker a lite rock song? Could it by played on a regular rock station? Reason I'm asking is I requested it to be played on the rock radio station that I listen to during the day. Now yesterday, they did play a two-fer of the Mac (two Mac songs played back to back; it was two for Tuesday). They played GYOW & Don't Stop. Today the DJ FINALLY mentioned the tour & new CD, Say You Will, which I asked her to do yesterday (Guess she just wanted to verify it.) after she played Don't Stop again. Mentioned the AC & Philly dates & mentioned that she is getting married on the Atlantic City date. Now this radion station plays new music from Creed, U2, Springstein, groups like this. Why not the Mac? Maybe I'll e-mail the program director.

This really does kill me. The "hot" stations will play similar bands, even ones such as Michelle Branch, No Doubt, Matchbox Twenty...all with similar musical styles to Fleetwood Mac. Yet they won't play Fleetwood Mac. It's so stupid.

I've actually heard it quite a few times on Pittsburgh's Lite Rock 92.9, which plays hits from the 70's through today. I've just been surprised that I've heard it about five times now.

Lightbulb It's in heavy rotation at a station where I work

I work at a radio station that has a sister station with a top 40/adult comtemporary format (so it plays stuff from Celine Dion to J-Lo, both of which make me want to hurl BTW) and they've put Peacekeeper in very heavy rotation. I'm just tickled that it's getting played so much. Also they hooked me up with a free copy of the promo single. As I said in another thread the quality is a billion times better when you hear it right from the cd. If anyone would like I have a high quality version of the song from the cd on my computer so please drop me an email if you're interested in hearing it.
