Default DC show-anyone going?

I got my ticket finally after some anxious moments trying to get Ticketmaster online to work for me...

Any one in the DC area going to the show?

Me and Mike_B will be there also, it's a long way from the UK, but I know it will worth it

Yes, Vianna! Neil and I will be there. Do you know of a good hotel around the venue for us to stay in? What area is MCI Center considered to be in? (Downtown, Metro, etc.)

You've gotta give us the low down. It's going to be a UK'er and a country bumpkin in the big city!

It's right downtown. Hotels are cheaper if you don't stay directly in the city. There's a Holiday Inn not too far from the Huntington Metro Station-I'd suggest taking the metro to this concert-easiest way to get there-the metro stop that you'd get off at in DC is a short walk to the MCI Center.

We've got to meet at the concert - all of us DC Ledgies and any other Ledgies who come to this show=:-) Let's try to work something out, ok?

Thanks Bly & Vianna!

That is just the kinda info I was looking for. And I am all for meeting up before the show, I think it would be a blast to hang out with some Ledgies before the show. We'll definitely have to work it out in the coming weeks!

Well, I do want to go but I can't get the day off from work. I get out of work at 5:00pm and I will never get to the airport and to BWI in time for the show. If it was on the Saturday I would have gone. I know Pittsburgh is on the Saturday but Southwest airlines does not serve that city. My first show will be in Cleveland, OH. Anyone going to that show? I am also going to both Worcester shows.

Default since i live in D.C.

I'll definitely be at the MCI Center show - although I didn't buy my ticket yet. After being disgusted by the ticketmaster fiasco - I can't believe the best seat available was on the opposite of the stage in sec. 104. right at the selling time. I sat in that section when I saw Sting, and it's not bad, but it's not worth the $150. It should have been a $75 ticket at the max. If i'm going to pay $150, I need to have to at least being able to see the band, and not have to depend on the monitors... oh well.. i'll be there.

Vianna is right Mike. The hotels in D.C. are expensive - the company i work for has a huge conference every year, so we have contracts with many downtown hotels - and even with our special conference rates - you rarely find a decent hotel under $100. I know Torri stayed at a roadside inn which was about 3 or 4 blocks from MCI on New York Ave. It might be reasonable. I'll find out more and let you know..

if folks wanna stop by my flat before the show... i'm game. I'm only 3 blocks from the subway station, which will take us right to the MCI.. its about a 6 minute train ride... and we can get primed by listening to the new record...

Keith,

You are not going to believe this but I was offered a seat in that same section by Ticketmaster for 75.00. I didn't get it because Ticketmaster came up with some error but that is weird!

I am in section 226 row g seat 7-it's not wonderful but some of the fanclub people didn't do any better=:-) for what that's worth...

I am going to try closer to the show to see if I can get better seats.

Great, Keith thanks for the info. Very cool of you to offer your flat for a meeting spot. We'll have to definitely plan a ledgie gathering!
