Default Can You Split It?

Silly thread here but I would like to know if any of the Ledgies out there can do the Stevie Nicks splits? I am still practicing yoga and I do stretching everyday, but I can't seem to do it. Am I doing something wrong? If any of you can tell me the trick please do so. I would love to know.

If you rip just the right ligaments, it should work.

I used to be able to do them but now I can't.

It makes me so happy to see her doing the splits in platform boots. Wouldn't be Stevie any other way. Ridiculous!

God, the last time I tried was probably back in the days of high school cheer camp. I can probably still do a heel stretch (second picture), but the split is questionable.

I can. But it hurts. Very badly. Even though I'm no where near being coordinated/athletic, I'm very flexible. I like to freak my friends out by stretching in this fashion.

Except I can put my foot almost in front of my face.

Splits, I can handle. What she's doing in the picture might send me to the emergency room. I could *kick* that high, but ask me to hold it while you take a picture, and you're out of luck.

Honestly, it's easier than a split. We had to do heel stretches every year as part of our cheerleading audition (which still pisses me off because we didn't once use them during the season, but moving on), anyway, a heel stretch takes about a week to get back after you lose it.

Is a heel stretch where you put your leg up and turn your toes up, and try to grab your toes? Those I can do. I have been doing my stretches every day and night for the last month. I have already lost 5 pounds with my special diet and I have been getting on the bike for 10 min, and doing 15 min of yoga (which involves alot of stretching), and lifting my 3 pound weights to give my chest a little more of a lift, if you ladies know what I mean. But I am still not successfully able to get on the floor and spread my legs like Stevie can. Remember in the Tusk Doc. when she was doing her ballet and she sat on the floor and just like that...one leg went this way and the other that way. And as she was sitting she leaned herself forward. I am still trying to do that, but I think alot of it has to do with this belly I have. It keeps me from going forward alot. I still have a long way to go yet with loosing this weight. Wish me luck everyone! I want to at least get back into a 12 by Christmas. 8 is my goal.

HELLZ NO! I have NEVER had loose hamstrings. I've gotten close but never all the way. My legs just dont like to stretch that much I guess

I was told in Primary school by a girl that could do the splits, that if you can sit on the floor with your legs spread straight out in front of you (like a V), and touch the floor with your head (leaning forward of course, we can all do it backward), then you can do the splits. It was always the easier way to stretch for me, rather than trying to pull a hammy.
