I actually really like the Chicks version of Landslide. I think it has way more character than the very starkly plain original version from the white album. However, I get just as upset with people thinking that it was the Chicks song first.

Oh, and in case people can't tell... this whole Hannah Montana thing isn't going to happen. Half the posts on here about the "validity" of the story are just a big joke trying to upset people. Ms Cyrus might record a Bella Donna track on an upcoming album of hers, but the odds of her totally re-recording the entire album and releasing it are just nil.

lol...just for the sake of conversation, I seriously hope Miley Cyrus never comes anywhere near recording anything of Stevie's...that would just be plain wrong!!!!

And, since you guys are talking about it...I can't stand the Dixie Chicks version of Landslide...they make it sound so dreary and depressing. There is something not right with the tone of it. I don't know how to explain it...it just sounds all wrong.

well, at least the Dixie Chicks released it as a single (their last single, actually) BEFORE the infamous Iraq comments, because it did very well (making Stevie lots of money). Their next single, "Travelin' Soldier" would have been a MASSIVE hit given the timing & subject matter.. if only Miss Maines had more tact about when/where she shared her opinion.

lohan wanting to portray stevie, vanessa hudgens hoping to be janis joplin, and now this...hannah montana...look, I have enough with having to stand her show because my sister loves it...don't mess around with my things, with my stevie, ok???

I'm getting sick! how can somebody have the guts to compare themselves to such artists as nicks or joplin? REAL artist don't, why do they expect it? I wonder what their parents tell them...they need some humility.

I really don't understand why most of the recent posts on this thread are posting like this is the real deal.

1 - Never trust iamnotafriad's posts.
2- Read other posts besides the first one and your own...this was put to rest a while ago.
