^ Never. I only buy CD's online anyway. Mp3 at Amazon's MP3 stores. They are closing Virgin Mega in NY. I am sad. It really is an end of an era...

I really loved going to music stores.

She was dark at the top of the stairs
And she called to me...

Well, everytime I went to CD stores there were Rumours, Very best of and Tango in the Night under Fleetwood Mac. But I may not be the right person to ask because I get my music usually online or from the record collections of nice people. It's sad that CD's time is over but who knows how long the mp3's time will last. Everything's changing constantly.

The Barnes and Noble book store near me always has a good selection...for Stevie they have pretty much one of all her solo stuff unless it is just out of stock. I got a lot of my pre-buckingham nicks Fleetwood Mac CDs at barnes and noble too - they have all sorts of stuff there.

Stevie's analog days are almost over. Warner finally put to death the
"Bella Donna" Cassette ( yes, it's just went off the active list).

All that's left from Stevie in the analog format is the "Crystal Visions"
2 LP set.

Eight active Stevie titles left (if you include DVD).
Goodbye Stevie........dang you downloaders!

This is all my fault! I've spent too much time working on my FM/Stevie/Lindsey vinyl collection, and not enough on the CDs. Damn that retro charm.

This thread depresses me. I hate the modern music industry.

You can blame the freeloaders for downloading free copies for this.I can't blame her for harping about the internet pirates. It's not going to stop.

This simply is not true. Digital music is the future - CDs replaced records. Digital copies have replaced CDs. People just aren't buying CDs in numbers sufficient to justify their production.

CDs are made from oil (a non-renewable product) and they require fuel to transport.

Yes - lots of people steal downloads, but that has nothing to do with CDs being discontinued. People made copies of cassettes & CDs for their friends for fourty years - probably far more albums were stolen this way than will ever be downloaded illegally. The discontinuation of CDs and analog music formats is the natural progression of technology.

All of these discontinued items can be legitimately purchased in digital format on Amazon, iTunes and other digital music retailers.

I agree. As we know .She don't understand the computer world. It's greek to her.Personally I rather own a CD then a downloadable from Itunes. When the computers hard drive crashes .Mind as will say goodbye to the tunes. Most people don't bother backing their computers up.In the meantime they should be cheaper then the hardcopy. This will end me for purchasing new music.
