Default New Tour Old Material "Survivor" ROUND 2

OK, Rhiannon and Don't Stop are out. But I've added The Chain and World Turning. We'll narrow it down to our top 3 classic setlist hits we can't live without on the tour. So vote off the tired old ones which don't need to be done live anymore or should be sacrificed for new or obscure material.

I agree with the choice of Rhiannon. I can't stand to hear the "dreams unwind/all the same" verse sung all on one note . Also Don't Stop isn't that impressive live IMO, especially without Christine. But I cast my vote again for Dreams. I just won't miss it. I'd much rather any of Stevie's Tusk songs. She's gotta do at least one.

Poll closes at the end of the day Wedesday 3/19.

You are so right....Love Dreams but it has GOT TO GO FROM THE LIVE SET...LAST TOUR IT WAS THE BATHROOM BREAK....Songs I would love to see live:
SECOND HAND NEWS
THE LEDGE
STORMS
BEAUTIFUL CHILD
I KNOW I'M NOT WRONG
ANGEL
WALK A THIN LINE
I DON'T WANNA KNOW
TWISTER

ANY BUCKINGHAM NICKS STUFF

NO SOLO STUFF (Buckingham Nicks stuff doesn't count ...I dont' know why) .... IT SEEMS SACRILIGIOUS TO ME (Did I spell that right) Just like I do not want ANNYYYYY of Stevie's backround singers on "SAY YOU WILL" ONLY FLEETWOOD MAC MEMBERS PLEASE! Sorry Sheryl I thought I heard backround singers other then FM and I almost had a heart attack....Overdub if you have too! The tour is ok..you guys can sing then.

PROTEST

I abstain from further votes as this poll is definitely skewered.

"Dreams"... studio version only, please. Now that's magic. I never liked any live version that much, especially now when Stevie can't reach the higher notes of that precious song.

I agree no extra singers should be used on the album (except Chris' guest vocals of course) but I liked Sharon and Lori on The Dance and won't mind if they're on the SYW tour. They add a nice, very subtle enhancement. They are just like these shadowy figures in the background who chime in every once in a while and make the song sound fuller in its live version, sometimes making it sound more like the studio version (than if they were not there).

As for Joe's protest....sorry man, you were outnumbered!
Please reconsider your abstention .

I guess if you're taking the bottom two off at a time...ok. But on the other hand if you put "World Turning" in the first poll it may have been booted off instead of "Rhiannon". I guess I'm protesting the way the game's being played..not so much the numbers..I'm ok with that. And really it's only a game, so Sonia play it the way you feel it.

Was Lori on The Dance tour? I thought it was Sharon and Mindy.

My vote goes to World Turning. I've never heard it without Christine, and when I imagine it with just Stevie & Lindsey, I think the song could be easily replaced by a Buckingham Nicks tune, maybe with a drum solo.

On the other hand, I've never seen a live version of Gypsy with Chrisine that really impressed me. The keyboards never had the same dynamic live. I'd love to see Stevie & Lindsey do the acoustic version again.

WT got my vote.

if this is true Rhiannon NEEDS to be back on the list. It wasn't voted off.

Those numbers are correct. I took the top two most voted songs off because they both seemed to dominate. If Rhiannon had been like 3 or more votes behind Don't Stop I would probably have left it there. Keep in mind that these polls only allow 10 options and I put the ones up there at first that I believe are the ones performed live the most. I certainly could be wrong about that. I wanted to get World Turning and The Chain in there and now they are still competing against such classic acts as Dreams and GYOW. Maybe World Turning is not really a good choice since it hasn't really been done without Christine. I don't know. Sorry if anybody thinks my decision was unfair. This poll is obvously just for fun, and an interesting way to find out what top three songs we can't live without on the tour. Something tells me Rhiannon would not have made it to the top 3. Sorry if that disappoints anyone . But if there is a way you think this could be more fair (that doesn't involve starting over), please let me know.

As for Lori singing backups, I meant The Dance album/video, which I'm pretty sure she was on...not the tour, which I'm pretty sure she wasn't on.

I LOVE the acoustic version of Gypsy and I hope they'll do it that way if they do the song! The one that's been floating around (I think from AHI 2000) is so gorgeous despite the crummy recording quality and I listen to it all the time

I think they did it in the Time incarnation, without Christine or Stevie or Lindsey... Billy Burnette and Bekka Bramlett and Fleetwood Mac, so it wouldn't be such a new thing to have it without Christine's vocals. And don't worry, I agree with the decisions taken for the poll. You can't please everyone can you. I was in agreement of taking "Rhiannon" away.

I voted "Dreams", it's the only one there that I couldn't care less if I never got to see it live. It's gonna get tough from now...!
