Default Man dies after falling into vat of chocolate in New Jersey

Gives new meaning to the words dark chocolate(he was Black)

A man has died in a chocolate vat in New Jersey.

Vincent Smith Jr, 29, was emptying pieces of solid chocolate into the melting vat when he slipped from a platform into the 8 foot deep unit.

Jason Laughlin of the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said the man appeared to have died instantly from a blow to his head by a paddle mixing the chocolate. Workers were trying to hit the shutoff valve right before he was killed.

Laughlin's family is still looking for answers to why Jason was put in such a dangerous position.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Laughlin family.

Sad though it is, if you have to die then falling into a vat of chocolate would probably be my choice of a way to go...

I heard a radio report that the vat was over 120 degrees (F)
