Wikipedia says they're from Brooklyn.

They're pretty popular, but they do nothing for me. That lead singer is beyond irritating.

They are an AMAZING live act, very Springsteen-esque.
A few years ago when Boys And Girls In America came out we went to see them and my friend requested the band play the song Stevie Nix for me, because he knew I was a huge fan, and they did! I was pretty thrilled. What a fantastic concert that was, most of the audience ended up on the stage with the band as they played the encore!

Too raucous for my blood.

Like Sharon, I like them too. This is far from their best song btw. But Livia is right, the leadsinger is getting more obnoxious every year... but still, they made some good records..

That's what it is. Thanks for putting it into words for me. Yeah, I don't like them at all.

And they tell me the lyrics to Edge don't make any sense.

Thank god there is someone with taste around here I should have guessed it would be you!

This live clip isn't even that great but I'm surprised so few have heard of them, Boys & Girls In America was one of the best reviewed albums of 2006. That said I couldn't get into the follow-up Stay Positive, even though J Mascis was a guest on it. But this song, Stevie Nix, is pretty old, it's from their 2005 album Separation Sunday. The lyrics are actually pretty interesting, it's not really about Stevie Nicks, as you may have guessed.

The music is nice, but I am really not digging the vocals at all.
