THe Houston concert, which was indeed in 1986 at the Houston Summit (now known as the Compaq Center) was the location of said fall. Stevie literally fell /off/ of the stage. As in, into the throbbing masses. This was not a short fall. She was down for a few minutes and people were quite concerned. She did get back onstage and did resume the concert, so presumbaly was not terribly injured. However, Mama Nicks, she was pissed.

She proceeded to go on for a good ten minutes lecturing the audience about rushing the stage.

The story I had heard all those years ago was that It was "that time of the month" for Stevie and her, umm breasts were a bit swelled and umm, some fan actually had grabbed at her legs and she fell off the stage. I still remember who told me that in 1986 .
