Booking FM on SNL
Somebody had a great idea to start an e-mail campaign to get Saturday Night Live to book Fleetwood Mac. I'm starting this thread in hopes of getting you guys to join the effort. The e-mail address is
[email protected] After you write, let us all know here. And if you get a response, please post it as well. Here's what I wrote if you wanna copy it: Hi, _ I'd like to encourage you to pursue getting Fleetwood Mac to play on one of your upcoming shows. In the past Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks have given some great performances on your show and it would be awesome to see the entire band there. They have a new cd coming out on 4/15 called "Say You Will" and a big tour. _ Also, please get ready, I'm writing this as part of a campaign by FM fans. I think you'll be getting a lot of requests from us. _ Thanks,

that's great and everything... but i don't think it's the best idea to let them know that you are starting a campaign with fleetwood mac fans.... they'll just view that as a bunch of freaky fans who all happen to be friends flooding their email inbox with requests that the general public might not care about.... it would be best for them to think that a lot of regular people (some might be die hard fans, some might not be) want fleetwood mac on their show... thus they would think that it is what the "general public" wants.... now they are just going to think we are a bunch of freaks with lots of extra time on our hands...
