Default Peacekeeper on NY radio!

It was just played on Q104.3 in NYC and Ken Dashow said:
"And that was the gorgeous new single from Fleetwood Mac"
"It's great to have new music coming from them!"
Lindsey then called in and they spoke for about 5 minutes on the
usual schpeel. Then they played "Second Hand News".

Yes I finally heard the song on the radio! What I thought was funny though was they mentioned an hour before that Lindsey was gonna call in to the show. I switched the station to 95.5 and Race Taylor said that Stevie was gonna call in to their show and they were gonna play the single and give away tickets. I thought it was ironic that they were both on at about the same time. I heard the whole Stevie interview.. she didn't say anything new but she did say that she loves New York, it's a precious city and can't wait to play here. She also said that she didn't really know what Peacekeeper was about..even though Lindsey explained it to her a few times! She just said the general message was to keep the peace. After they played the song, I switched back to Q104 and caught the middle of the song over there. I thought I missed Lindsey, but luckily I didn't. This was the most crazed hour of my life today.. flipping back and forth like a nut.. but it was worth it. I got to hear the both of them!

PS...I remembered this last night as I was going to sleep and knew I had to post it here. The DJ asked Stevie about Sheryl Crow and she said that she played keyboards on Say You Will and sings back-up on Silver Girl. Just thought you ledgies would want to know that...if you didn't already know

i'm in the ny area too but i missed that....i'm at school at that time...i did, however, hear the world premier of it last week at 5pm on 104.3...they kind of ticked me off a little cause they were all comparing it to "Kodachrome" and some other REM song but in the same breath they were saying that it wasn't a bad song or that FM copied someone else's music but that it just reminded them of the other songs. I guess they have a right to do that. i know people on here were saying the same thing...however, to me it really doesn't remind me of "Kodachrome"...i can hear similarities in the chorus vaguely but not enough that it overpowers the whole song. anyway, i thought it was poor taste at the radio station to compare a new song from a legendary band to an old song or songs. It doesn't seem to give FM that much credit. I don't know JMHO i guess.

glad you two heard the interviews though!

I heard it too!!! I didn't know a thing, had just finished my grocery shopping and was flipping the stations and caught Peacekeeper right in the middle. Does anyone else find it a little shock of electricity thru the system when a FM/Stevie song plays on the radio. You get so familiar with the tunes listening to them on your own and then it's quite alien to hear it on the radio. I'm listening to Peacekeeper, a song I love, and I'm wondering if it sound like a hit to the average listener!!

the interview with Lindsey was also good, nothing new to us FM fanatics but it was great to hear from him. The DJ was cordial and respectful...
