Default Could Love Runs Deeper be about Chris?

I was just thinking of Love Runs Deeper and I thought some parts could be about Christine:

"How you mystified/Just a blinding flash" = "The light that shines around you/It blinds my eyes" - Mystified from Tango

"Black angel can't be alone" = Stevie always complains about being the only girl in the band; she needs to have Christine with her

"I was sure I'd go/We were parallel lines" = possibly about Lindsey thinking of leaving the band, as was Christine.

Possibly. But, remember, Kristen (supposedly) wrote the verses.

I don't think so I think it's about Lindsey's love for Kristen and vice versa.

I agree with everyone who has said its more than likely not about Chris, but your "black angel" interpretation was brilliant! I wish it was true!

This line does remind me of Chris, but it's mainly because he has described him and Christine as moving along "parallel lines" in their musical education.

I thought Kristen helped "structure" LRD and wrote a few words. I don't think she wrote all the verses.

Also, Mystified is the song where LB wrote the words and Christine wrote the music, right? And everyone always thought it was vice versa? Or is that another song...anyway, it could be that it's just one of those long-lasting LB metaphors like the "tears of a clown" and bridge of You Do Or You Don't and Bleed to Love Her...you know, kind of linked (or directly lifted) with the other.

I think the theme is probably about him and his wife. It's such a beautiful song. I think I need to show it more love because I've been going back to GOS and thinking how fantastic Underground and Great Day are, and obviously WFY and RPTF. I think I should go back to this one more.

I believe LB said Kristen helped structure DYMM but wrote the verses for LRD.

So she actually did write all the verses? Well...wow. Go Kristen!!! She's quite a multi-talented little thing isn't she? I love the song and DYMM (the former a little more) and appreciate her input.

Kristen also inspired the song Show You How, which I have gone back to and have been LOVING like a mother lately. I've always loved it. I was in Venezuela for that period when it was released and I had downloaded it on my ipod and shared it with family there. I was wary about how they would react considering it isn't an out and out commercial song...but they really dug it. And that shows that music can speak to everyone regardless of language. The guitar and the beginning part of that song were awesome.

OK, that was totally taking this topic off. Sorry.

Yes, she has an endless stream of talent, apparently. I too love both songs...

Maybe LB and K will release a duet album of co-written numbers with a few bonus tracks from Will. Seems like they're on there way!

when interpreting this song... put yourself in K's shoes writing from LB's pint of view about LB/SN...

"black angel can't be alone" (a bit of a backhand at SN?)

"love runs deeper from a broken home"

Just a thought.

Interesting. But she could very well be talking about herself too.

^ I think Kristen probably wrote the black angel line obviously referring to Lindsey who can't be alone.

Lindsey said he wrote the chorus and Kristen wrote the verses... so those two lines were written by Lindsey.
