After careful thought and some good advice I had to thrown the Sec 2 Row 25 ticket back....it's just going to cost me far more then I wanted to spend

I have not missed a show in Atlantic City since 2006...this will officially be the first year I dont head there...have a blast everyone.

I can't believe I just did this... I pulled up FL2, row 25, seat 1 but threw it back because it is actually worse seats then what I had for the DC show, I was dead center row 16 last time.

I am only going by myself so I think I will wait until the seats drop closer to the show because I really want my dream to come true of being within the first 5 rows. OMG, I hope I did the right thing, but I think the concert gods will smile sweetly upon me if I have the patience to wait for the drop.

with premium seating anyway right now, could not get anything closer than 20 or 25 rows anyway.

I will probably check TM the week of the show or even walk up to the box office, so many fans on forum boards have had great luck doing that. So, we'll see. (plus my travel plans are not in stone right now anyway).

I mean half an hour into the sale and there are still floor seats available, so considering TM hoards the best rows until closer to the show, I am feeling ok about my decision to wait.

I think in a venue like this, unless you are in the first 10 rows or so, or over 6' tall, floor seats are a huge gamble.

I'd wait.
I am waiting, actually.
First day, they usually try and sell stuff that's not great. So, hang in there. It takes a lot of patience but, if you're dream is to see them up close--25th row just doesn't cut it.

Thanks guys, believe me, it took quick thinking and rationale to throwing that seat back, but with everything I am reading, I am sure I can get something closer to the stage as time goes on.

Plus, the DC show was so freakin' fantastic and got audio of the show and all the YouTube stuff helps with concert withdrawal, so it is helping me to be patient.

I think what is going to help to is that since this is not associated with a casino, we don't have to deal with the high roller area close to the stage, so ya gotta think they will have to release those seats eventually given the economic market we are in right now.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned about this venue before, but seats in the level 100 sections begin with AA. I noticed on Ebay people already have listings claiming to offer front row seats in some of these sections, but they are row A, which would really be row 25 if the double letters go straight through to ZZ? I wonder if these sellers realize they are not really front row seats? Buyers beware!

On edit, I decided to send the seller a message and let them know their ad is inaccurate. Wonder if they'll change it? I know I'd be really PO'ed if I thought I had front row seats in a decent section and they were really 25 rows back!

Luke may be able to confirm/deny this, but after looking on TM this morning and seeing what was available, IMHO this show is teetering on either being moved to a smaller venue or being canceled. Seems to be selling VERY slowly.

Does the Borgata have any bookings in this time frame? On a late skeduling note like this im not supprized if the show gets dumped,on the fly concert bookings some times does not work.

The Borgata has Earth, Wind and Fire paired with Chicago on Friday and Saturday nights. Both are sold out (I was going down there that weekend, anyway, and was tempted to buy tickets).

So...no Borgata.

I would be very surprised if this show gets cancelled. I read on a board somewhere that high rollers, even if the show is not connected to a casino, can just request it from their hosts or pit bosses or whatever they call those things and they are comped seats for tickets at Boardwalk Hall, too.
So, there could be a huge amount of tickets set aside (at least for a while) for them.

Angry Atlantic City

Please DO NOT mention that this show may be cancelled. I am flying out from Los Angeles to celebrate my 50th b-day with my goddess and would just die if this happened. Is this venue small? I got seats in Section 125 - the lady at the box office said these are good. Any feedback on this? Thanks

Not sure, but presale password is usually AMX or AMEX
or guess it might be unleashed but dont think so.
Get them day of show. I always do. In the morning they offer like row 5, and by 2 pm row 1 and 2; just stick it out and you will be fine! It must be when the high roller tix from the casinos are released or something? I know they get BW hall too.

The venue is not small at all.And they are promoting it big time in Atlantic City. I went on Friday (took my mom out for a pre-Mom's day of general debauchery), and it was on a huge billboard as you left the AC expressway, and headed into AC proper, then--above the Pier Shops, they had them on the huge screen overlooking the boardwalk, showing video from SYW, I believe. I took pictures, and I'll try and post later.

So, take heart.

Talking Atlantic City

Hello Regina,

Do you live in Atlantic City or nearby? I've been there many years ago and just curious if the show is at 8pm what time do you suggest I go there or how long will it take me if I take a cab from Harrah's to the broadwalk? I am going to this show solo and would love to meet other hard core Mac fans.
