Meh, I wouldn't have gone to see them at the Picnic anyway, if they had other dates too like. I'm just pissed off that once again they have completely goofed up in the marketing aspect again. What better way to attract more fans than by playing at a festival? Wait, I forgot, they are already so utterly famous over here that they can just rest on their laurels and rerelease another copy of Rumours instead

Should have learned really from the Glastonbury rumours.
How naive of us. Judging by what people are saying on the EP forums, not that many people are bothered about FM not playing the picnic, guess the organizeers had to play to the crowd and FM just werent what they wanted.. ![]()

I can't see why not they should tour in europe thats where the band started in the first place. They probably haven't done a full European Tour or World Tour since Tusk Tour back in 1979 and 1980 i do think that was there last full world tour. they have the audience around the world would be cool if they do another studio album too i am hoping if they dont i hope stevie will put out a new solo cd.

I'd love them to come to the UK. I saw them back in the day when Lindsey left and Rick/Billy was with them. Didn't enjoy that concert much because I love watching and listening to Lindsey & Stevie together - their voices and chemistry are great. I saw Stevie at Wembley for the RoF tour and was gutted that she never came here solo again. I then saw two nights of SYW so I would lOVE them to come again. Personally I think if they were seriously considering Europe they'd have announced it my now. BUT it could be that they're simply seeing how they all get along. You know how the electrics can sometimes fly with Stevie & Lindsey, and you have to remember that Stevie is now the only female in the band she she struggled with that on the SYW tour, so maybe they're just playing it by ear.
I'm not holding my breath for a European tour though as much as I'd love it. |

Little Boots doesn't hold out much hope of seeing FM at a festival. Excerpt from interview in the London Sunday Times, May 17, 2009
http://entertainment.timesonline.co....cle6287210.ece In terms of seeing bands, I really want to stay at Glastonbury to see Blur. Heartbreak are always good, and I think the Big Pink are going to be a big festival band. I heard that Fleetwood Mac would be playing somewhere — I think it’s just a vicious rumour, but that would be amazing. The Human League and Kraftwerk will be great too, obviously. |
