I think she looks just about her best ever in the SW video, simply stunning. Some of the OSOTM looks are a bit much for me though, like she accidentally walked into Loretta Lynne's dressing room at some points.

I completely agree with you on this...that's exactly what I thought when I first saw the spread. I think she probably loved and still loves the red dress she wore on the cover of OSOTM along with most of her clothing from days gone by. And if she really didn't like something she wore or was the least bit embarassed by it, I highly doubt she would ever admit to it. As she said recently, these are all different phases of Stevie.

Hmmm i agree, i think that she probably does love a lot of her old looks, but cant admit to it. How many times have we read or heard her say how much she loves a song or a tour, them a few years later devulge that she actually hated it....

I love love love the 'Seven Wonders' look. What I wouldn't give to have my old poster back, it was Stevie at the microphone from the video, in a scene where she is wearing the black dress. It was on my wall when I was in college, and people who passed by my room would always remark on it hanging over my bed. I remember one young lady even said "oh my Gawd, I totally wanna be huh!" ("huh" means "her" in our Long Island accent)

Stevie has said so many times she loves the OSOTM red dress. Oh well, so be it. Not one of my favorites...

Re: the OSOTM cover, it isn't the dress I dislike as much so much as it is the photography (the pose, the lighting, the color, the angle). It's trashy.

It was nice to see some genuine craftsmanship return to her album photography in 2001 -- long overdue.

I know! What an odd pose!? It never made any sense to me. And the make-up is harsh too, rougey cheeks and big smooshy red lips. I didn't like the rear photo either, and I think the photo with the ladies makes Sharon looks like she was unearthed from some ancient tomb in Styria.

The only one of those looks I didn't care for was the Cher, black haired poodle look in the bottom right hand corner. On a side note, the RAL hair I did enjoy and I always wanted to see the "complete" MTV video of the interview she did with that hair. Does anyone have ALL of it??

i love the audio commentary on CV
at first i thought she was being sarcastic
and i was a little sad that she was making fun of her hair
but that took some serious ass work
and it looked GOOD!

i'd take that style over her current do anyday. current do is getting oooooooooold
