Farrah Fawcett Is Hospitalized

Farrah Fawcett has been hospitalized in Los Angeles since Thursday, the latest setback in her long battle with cancer, PEOPLE has confirmed.

First diagnosed in 2006, the 62-year-old actress has undergone chemotherapy and aggressive alternative treatments in the past.

She saw her cancer go into remission, then return in May 2007.

Radaronline.com was first to report her hospitalization.

As do I. She's been fighting a tough battle for a while now, including going to Germany for alternative treatments. She has filmed a documentary about it which NBC has acquired the rights to.

& on top of all her health probs, ryan & her son were arrested for meth weren't they? & i read somewhere that one or both were thrown out of rehab recently~

Yes. Redmond was arrested in a police station parking lot today for suspicion of possesion of narcotics or something like that. I honestly don't think that Ryan was doing meth. I mean the man had leukemia for god's sake. And he's not exactly thin. I don't care for Ryan and he's never going to be named father of the year but I think he was trying to take the fall for Redmond. There's not a normal kid in that whole family. Tatum and the two boys have all had drug probelms. I read Tatum's book and that girl had a rough life. She's on Rescue Me now and plays that Maggie part a little too well. Plus she got busted not too long ago trying to buy crack not far from her apartment. They seem to be a very unhappy family. It's sad. I don't know what Farrah ever saw in Ryan.

I hope Farah can beat the cancer again ..She and Stevie were together the great sex symbols of their time.Stevie was even referred to as the "Farah Fawcett-Majors of Rock and Roll" although I thought Farah should have been called the Stevie Nicks of prime time television.

Awwww.. I surely wish her well. She's been a favorite of mine for a while- since her Charlie's Angel's days, and I sure wish her and Ryan and their family well. I think they've all been through hell and back.

Ah... Farrah, my favorite Angel, always. Although I could have had Jaclyn Smith or Kate Jackson notebooks and pencil cases, it was always Farrah for me- she jiggled like no other. She inspired a generation of adolescent girls to don the "Farrah flip." And sadly, many today are older women who are still wearing the Farrah flip.

Anyway, a speedy recovery to ya, Golden Girl!

Apparently the reports about Farrah are "exaggerated." So states the LA times:

Her physician doesn't sound as chipper as her producer, but at least they are saying she's not unconscious and not "at death's door."

"Meanwhile, Redmond O'Neal, Fawcett's son with Ryan O'Neal, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of bringing narcotics into a jail facility and was being held on $25,000 bail.

A deputy at a jail in Castaic, north of Los Angeles, was doing a security sweep of the jail's parking lot when he stopped the 24-year-old, who admitted he was carrying drugs and was apparently at the jail giving a ride to a friend, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore said."

Farrah was my fave angels too.I hope she will pull out of this.lets pray for her.I dont know why her son is stiring up trouble when his mother is ill.she dont need this bullcrap now.Oh the farrah hair ,I love it.its so a cute.Even Stevie had it to.

ITA, yeah, Farrah was my favorite angel, too. It's really a shame. Her son isn't helping her any. What is wrong with him? I also wanted my hair like Farrah's, but I have "PITA" hair, so it just wouldn't go the way I wanted it. Anyway, I wish her well & hope her son gets his act together.
