Yeah, I know what you mean, David! It was a great time and very well put together!

And I dont know if this was brought up already but I saw only about 5 people that were "dressed up" as Stevie! I mean, I thought for sure this was gonna turn into a drag-fest and get out of control

Hey, who the hell knows, maybe she'll deign to come here to Minneapolis to do a signing someday... BTW, how was the old port authority bus terminal. Believe me, I spent more than enough time there on my trip out east a couple weeks ago..

Just curious, were people giving her, (or trying to give her) gifts or flowers or anything like that?

The downstairs queue started with people who got there around 6. And I was the first one on that line. At the time had no idea we would get to see her, and even when we were up and in the seats, it seemed like such a long time and we didn't really expect to get our chance until our row was called and we were on the actual line to the dais.

Thanks for sharing all your experiences and pictures/vids. I sooo wish I could've been there. I think it's great all of you had such a wonderful time, including Stevie. Awesome!!!!

Maybe she'll do more signings since this one went so smoothly (Seattle would be nice!!!).

ET ONLINE

Click the link for video

ET was there as Stevie Nicks met enthusiastic fans at Barnes & Noble in New York's Union Square during her very first in-store appearance.

The 60-year-old multiple Grammy winner and legendary Fleetwood Mac singer greeted fans and signed copies of her latest CD, The Soundstage Sessions, as well as her new DVD, Live in Chicago.

"This is really fun for me I am enjoying it, and I'm very proud of this 1985 - 2009," Stevie says. "I have the best fans. They are very honorable and very polite. They get excited but they are really sweet and I love that. I have wonderful fans."
There has never been a shortage of Stevie Nicks look-alikes and impersonators -- both men and women -- and some of them showed up to her first-ever in-store signing. Watch the video to hear how they are inspired by the original "Gold Dust Woman."

"It's a dream come true," says one adoring fan. "I've waited over 20 years to meet her. She's just so gracious and so loving. She wants to meet all her fans. She can't often do that so this is a real treat for everybody. We've followed her for years and years, and she's just beautiful."

Nicks is once again performing with Fleetwood Mac, which earlier this month kicked off its "Unleashed" nationwide tour, the group's first tour in five years.

Well i got to have a brief chat with stevie...and she was sooo sweet and gracious! I couldnt believe how good she looked up close! NO GLOVES EITHER!!!

I told her how much her music meant to me esp after losing my best friend to cancer...and she kinda grabbed my hands and briefly talked about Robin, and how her brother recently was diagnosed with cancer, and how its taking all these wonderful people from us. I told her "Has Anyone" got me through it, and she thanked me and said for me to take care of myself. As i walked away, and she continued signing, i could see her stop and give me a final glance...it was really touching. Then after some reporter asked me for a quote about what we were talking about cause it seemed to move stevie....lol

She seemed really nervous (especially since the first guy was certifiably insane), but she was very genuine, looked you in the eye and her hands are so soft and warm... It's hard to be in the moment when the moment is such a clusterf*** of stimuli.
She does sound velvety doesn't she? LOL and her hands are so soft. Glad it worked out for you and everyone....

I am so tired but I am going to try to get it all in.
We left at 3:30am from Mass. I finally got home at 12:30am
I was so much fun meeting everyone and seeing the people I already knew. Caitlin, Andrew, Tiffany and Co. so on and so forth.

I am going to cut to Stevie coming in.
So Stevie comes in and we were already told that we COULD take pictures while she was getting the press photos done but we had to stop taking them when she got on stage. Well of course that didn't work! Smile

So here I am snapping snapping snapping pictures like a CRAZY person and thanks to DEREK who posted that video because Stevie looked right at me and I waved to her she pointed and said "You! Your outta here! and then pointed to the door (you can see her point on the video) then she laughed and blew me a kiss and I blew one back. I now realized that my camera was still visible. So that part was so freaking cool!! SO SURREAL!

So I get up to her and of course I have no idea what I am going to say so here was the conversation:

Eric: Hi Stevie it's so nice to meet you.
Stevie: Hi! Thanks for coming! (reaches out to grab my hands)
Eric: I came all the way from Boston
Stevie: OH! BOSTON!!
Eric: I wanted to say thank you for doing this and thank you for all the wonderful music and I love this (pointing to the CD)
Stevie: Thank you so much! Have you seen the DVD yet? (cause I had 2 Cd's)
Eric: Yes it's amazing!
Stevie: Thank You! I worked really hard on it.
Eric: I hope to see you and Fleetwood Mac in Denver on my birthday
Stevie: Well come on down we still have 40 more dates!
Eric: Thanks!
Stevie: Thank You and bye (or something like that)

It was just absolutely amazing! I really could use some sleep though. Again well worth the trip!!

I agree! Thanks everyone, sounds like an amazing day.
I can't get over how good Stevie looks, she definitely looks the best I've seen her in years.

Hi well I have the time of my life. My husband and I got there around
9:30 in the morining we were fourth row. When it was time for Stevie he was first. She grabe his hands and asked how are you and he asked can you sign Fletch, the staff said no, but she did put a F and a little design which was cool he said he fell in love...
Now it is my turn, I was so nervous....I had a sister's of the moon shirt on and
I was telling Stevie the story and we were talking about it. Then before I left
I grabe her hand (She grabe my first) and said I love you Stevie and she looked into
my eyes and said thank you. I had it down pact what I was going to say and
I went blank...I got star struck, but Stevie was wonderful. I didn't know how
much time we had to talk to her...I am so glad I went and met so many wonderful
people.

Darla
