Yes, I'm hoping everyone here that goes has a good experience, but I'm worried that it's going to be a free for all.

I'm hoping for a west coast signing - they do have a few weeks off before the next show, and Stevie will probably want to come home for a bit. If there is one, I will be there even if I have to call in sick!

Yeah...I'm a little worried about that myself. And I'd understand it, I'd be pretty pissed too. Maybe we should all just take our chances, make it as fair as possible. *fingers crossed everyone gets to meet her!*

Well, put yourself in the shoes of the person who waits in line for 8 hours only to not get a signed DVD when hundreds of people show up at 6pm because they had to work, but who's friends let them line jump. When you are on the other end of that stick, it doesn't smell as nice.

you were just lecturing and I called you on it...that's all!!! but I'll be sure to take confession with my priest but I think he might be more interested in my bigger infractions

then whether one Ledgie friend does a favor for another...

Grow up. Being a Ledgie doesn't entitle you to any more than any other hard working person who has a mortgage, and getting screwed numerous times out of meeting Stevie doesn't make it OK to potentially screw someone else out of the same opportunity. You'd probably be the first person to raise hell if 20 people show up and get in line in front of you at 6pm.

and I'm not even going to mention the profiteers who do this kind of stuff for rock memorobilia resale...after all, they're trying to make a living...but due to their jobs, they can get online early and actually hire additional staff to camp out, line place-hold and jump as well!!!

I'm just calling it like it is. I think a few people misunderstood the idea behind shifts, and as Curtis later suggested it's really intended for people who arrive at the same time and not the same thing as holding spots in line for people. If that's what you are doing, call it what it is. That might be true, but I don't see anything wrong with someone holding your place on line, if they then leave the line when you get there.

I was a BN today. As everyone knows I can't go to the signing because of health reasons. I can't risk an incoming riot or standing or sitting more then 10 mins. It's a hassle.

But Like I said I went to BN today to pick up some book and I burst in tears when I saw this:

what made it worst is my 9 year old niece saw me crying and thought I was losing it lol

A rep from BN saw me tearing up and told me she knows hell will break lose on tuesday, that she going to eat extra Quaker Oats to maintain more energy. And a few Advils. lol

Such a nice lady. She consoled me and all.

Anyway, I had to take a picture of the sign from the BN store. Just to share a little something here.

Look, my initial post is my opinion, and was not even in response to one of your posts. I do not need to be a supporting member to have an opinion, and furthermore, being a supporting member does not make anyone's opinion more valid than any other member, whether you perceive that opinion as preaching or not. How exactly are you "calling me out"? I did not mince words at all, I freely said how I would feel about anyone jumping in line? The only thing you are doing is calling yourself out as someone who thinks they are entitled to do so because they are a "true" fan, by their own definition.
