I'll be there! Unfortunately I can't get there until 5PM or so, but I would be willing to take a shift for someone who wanted to take a dinner break.

Hi everyone, I've only been lurking on here until now. I'm driving up from maryland in hopes of meeting stevie. We'll probably get there around 1 pm. hope that's early enough! It would really suck to come all that way and not meet her. Anybody done one of these things before? I don't know what to expect. Do people usually bring food/chairs/other stuff I'm not thinking of? Looking forward to meeting everyone!

If you want to take over for me and Sara at 2 (or a little earlier) and then
Oykamu or Bella Figura, if you guys want to take over a later shift around 5 we can try and arrange that...

Is anyone getting there before 9 or 10 am??? Sara and I can take over your post then and the rest of the crew can follow in on that post after me... Let's try and form some sort of schedule

I'm not sure if I'm going or not yet, but I just had a question about this scheduling shift idea. If someone who gets to the line at 5 pm takes a "shift" from someone who has been on line since say 11 am, what happens to the 5 pm person when the 11 am person gets back from their break? Do they go to the end of the line? Because if they don't, then it's really not a shift, it's holding places in line for people, and that's kind of not fair for the people who got to the line early. Imagine if 50 people decided to camp out the night before and you get in line behind them at 10 am when Barnes and Noble opens. You wait in line for 8 hours, then all of the sudden at 6pm all of their friends start showing up to "relieve" them, but when they get back from their shift you now have 200 people in line in front of you instead of the original 50, and you miss getting a signed DVD by one person?

that would be great, I'm up for giving anyone a dinner break if I can get a good spot, back during TISL, Ledgies would use a badge to identify one another...is that still being done? I still have my old one somewhere or just message me...

well, you're right in a preachy disparaging way but Ledgies looks out for one another...

I don't see how the shift thing is going to work unless we all show up at the same time. You really cant come in at 5 and take the place of someone that was there at 9. Ya know? It's jumping line.

I hope all of you have a great experience!! Be sure to post all the details!

I'm hoping for a west coast signing - they do have a few weeks off before the next show, and Stevie will probably want to come home for a bit. If there is one, I will be there even if I have to call in sick!

BTW, are any of you guys calling in sick in order to do this?
