It's news to me about him saying he didn't have mono. Actually, I never heard him talk about it, so...lol!

But, yeah, in the book it just seemed he was sick a lot. Wasn't there also mention of him having severe stomach cramps where he had to go to the doctor and have tests? I remember that being in there when they were recording Tusk.
I wonder if that coincides with Stevie's carpet bur...I mean stomach welps?

Then, LB tells CAH upon his exhausted return to their room, that Stevie needed to speak to her at the venue that night. So, CAH is summoned by the Queen into her quarters and she then proceeds to show CAH how she was SO UPSET over the whole incident that she had welps or a rash all over her stomach. All was good. hehehe...stomach welps...yeah..."meeting"...yeah...that book is so entertaining.

Lindsey may have talked about the mono in an audio interview. I think he said ISA was written in San Jose and the guy asked him if the mood of the song was because he was lethargic due to mono and he said no and that it was really weird, because he turned out not to have mono.

As for his dad, yes I guess he was diagnosed with a heart problem and Stevie said they watched him go downhill right before their eyes.

But regarding Lindsey, I'm sure he's in perfect health. I was just being glib. They are probably all insured before touring and they have to undergo a physcial. The way he works onstage for 2 hours straight, I'm sure he's got a heart like a horse and he's already outlived his dad, who passed away at 56.

Hmm...K. I think I remember that part. But I have a hunch she probably didn't consider Stevie a friend. The way she talked about her throughout the book really made Stevie out to be a complete dolt. Even a non-Stevie fan could read this and get the impression the woman was making no effort to be kind. Here and there she throws a few in so people don't think she's jealous or doesn't like Stevie, but I basically get that she felt threatened, thought she was weird, and somehow felt she was superior to her in terms of being Lindsey's S.O.

And I think LB's stomach issue was more like an ulcer or something, lol!

I was just kidding about the stomach...

My take on CAH's "feelings" about Stevie is a little different though. I got the impression she wanted to be like her and secretly admired her, and yeah, was very jealous of her and felt really inferior to. I thought the jibes were really a cover up for her own insecurities, which imo, LB more than likely added to greatly - what with the "spectre of Stevie" and all ...

Could be true. She just sounds a little crude in some of the ways she takes jabs at Stevie. But it could have been a mask for her insecurities. Or Stevie could have been that silly, I don't really know.

I need to find the book...

Just to be clear -- and I think to reiterate what CADreaming is insinuating. Part of the pleasure of this book is how deluded CAH is (even today). Lindsey and Stevie didn't have (or only have) an argument. Lindsey and Stevie were having sex.

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

I've always been worried about Lindsey because of his immediate family history of heart disease. It's that genetic loading for diseases like heart disease, diabetes, or cancer that so often gets people -- no matter how much they exercise & eat well & do all the right things.

I found what seems to be the entire book online if anybody is interested. I think its about 383 pages. I am reading it now.

Even CAH insinuates it when she says that she didn't ask him what happened in that bedroom because she really didn't want to know, that she only wanted things to be ok.

Plus...when he comes back CAH points out that Lindsey looked very "relaxed". When you argue with someone for HOURS you don't have "calm" written on your face...

But if you know it runs in the family, then its easier to keep it under control, because you get checked for it, take the tests even before you have symptoms and at a younger age than most of the population woudl, etc.. If you aren't in denial, of course.
