Exclamation Update from Mick's BBS...

Hi Mick's Chat Members and Guests!

It's going to get fast and furious from here on - beginning Monday - so I'm going to start a "COUNTDOWN" topic to keep you updated. We may delete these as we put up new ones so be warned that posts here may come down in the interest of clarity and keeping the board streamlined. OK - Updates:

First - There was a mini-concert last night including the entire band, the touring team and musicians. It was held in a California sound stage after 8 days of very intense rehearsals. It lasted 46 minutes, included a bit of everything including three of the new songs. People there were simply blown away. The whole thing just clicked. Fleetwood Mac sounds and looks FANTASTIC. About 1,000 invited guests were there. Very tight security. I have a difficult time saying this publicly, but I stood there and tears streamed down my cheeks. It was SOOOO GOOOD! I'm sure you'll all get the chance to see the full concert this year and I know you'll get just a choked up as I did. Fleetwood Mac is at the top of their game and you're in for a fabulous concert and one heck of a record.

Second - Within 3 to 10 days you'll be hearing Peacekeeper on the radio as a single.

Third - On Tuesday of next week we go up with the "Say You Will" look at www.FleetwoodMac.com. It has a free video that will change weekly for five weeks. Don't miss a week! They are all great!

Fourth - Fan Club Members will be able to access the club through the new home page.

Fifth - You'll see a tremendous promotion at AOL. There will be exclusives for AOL members so sign up, find a buddy who has AOL or get to a library and see the AOL content. I've spent some time with the AOL team and they are one fine group of people who really care about music and Fleetwood Mac. Stay tuned for more info on this.

Sixth - Presales are going to start FAST! Keep your eye on your mailbox if you're registered with any of the Official sources of news and info or here at this board if you're not.

Here are some things that might make your experience this touring season more enjoyable:

1. If you HAVE NOT joined THIS BOARD as a MEMBER please consider joining. It is free and we will be sending Member news out. If you come over here and visit but don't join, we can't mail you announcements.

2. Please sign up for ALL the Official Sites so you're certain to get the various mailings. There's a newsletter from Reprise Records (Warner Bros.) you can sign up for at www.FleetwoodMac.com. There's a DIFFERENT notification coming from Mick's site. Sign up at the main menu (HOME) using the TALK TO ME link if you haven't already! Stevie's site is also in the Official Ring. Visit www.Nicksfix.com often!

3. Consider joining the Official Fleetwood Mac Fan Club. Get info on this at www.FleetwoodMac.com. The introductory price of $59 will be raised to the general price of $79 soon. I'm not holding back by not telling you when - We don't know yet. They're working on a large promotion for the Club. If this occurs they may need to drop the introduction price as part of this promotional agreement as early as next Tuesday. If this happens - don't say we didn't warn you! I understand the latest date for going to the regular price is the end of this month, although that could change. Remember - the Fan Club price isn't going UP - It has been LOWER than the regular price to support fans frequenting this and other info sites. Someone say thanks to the managers for keeping it low out of the gate in order to support the "regulars"!

More on Sunday, right here!

The Knight!

Maybe we'll have a Peacekeeper video after all??? Even if it won't be a concept video, I think we'll all take what we can get! Oh yeah and not to be petty, but I'm kind of miffed that the damn Knight was invited to this thing and none of us were. Makes me like him even less

Arrow Dreamer....

I just took that mini-concert to be like a practice run, but that's just me. I agree tho that hopefully they taped it if it's THAT GOOD so we can ALL SEE IT!!!! I PRAY TO GOD we get some kind of video for Peacekeeper too....I wanna see LINDSEY in a frickin video...last one was for Little Lies!!!!!! THIS SONG ROCKS and I think a concept video for it would ROCK too!!! There are SO many ways to interpret the song, they could go down ANY avenue!

That's kind of what I was thinking too, but then, since they did perform on a soundstage, it would seem like the perfect place to record, so who knows. I guess my imagination just got the best of me!

AMEN TO THAT!!! Let's just hope that someone forces them to do it, or they realize it on their own ASAP!

Default Amazing news

This is amazing news. A concert? Already? Wow.

I wonder how you got on that list of 1,000. I wonder who was there?

I'm wondering too much.

I'm sure they will do at least 2 more new songs. Remember, this was only a 46 minute show...can't fit too much into that, especially with the length of the songs that FM has. I'd really like to know the songs they did.

Yeah I kinda over-reacted, plus Knight said it was a "mini concert."

He also answered 2/3 songs they performed..."Peacekeeper" and "Say You Will." So it looks like "Say You Will" is the obvious 2nd single.

I wonder what the third song was?

Really cool to hear about this preview concert! I'm sure they'll play more new songs in their full set list.

If there were 1,000 people there, then surely at least ONE of those people can tell us what was played...??? Come on! If you're reading this and you went to the concert...spill the beans!!!!
