For me, it was an okay show. Stevie's vocals were excellent, but it bored me to tears to watch her. She looked bored and totally not interested in the show at all. I taped her several times just standing there to show that she was doing nothing but wasting space. Lindsey was good, too....same stuff from him, too though....the "I'm done with the song...going to act like my chest hurts and put my hand there and wait until the crowd is done cheering" thing he always does. Gypsy and Sara are my two stand outs for the night. I taped: -the ending of The Chain -the beginnning of I Know I'm Not Wrong w/Lindsey Speech -end of I Know I'm Not Wrong -Gypsy twirl -Rhiannon ending -beginning of Tusk -all of Sara -all of Storms including intro speech -GDW "yell" to ending -all of Oh Well -beginning of Stand Back....she looked bored so I stopped taping... -beginning of GYOW -end og GYOW -all of Silver Springs

I loved it.
Except for the moron next to me who kept screaming for Leather and Lace. Does anyone really think "Leather and Lace, bitches! Stop ****ing around and sing Leather and Lace!" will really compell Stevie to sing a song for you? People! Nice crowd, in general, though. At least where I was (said moron didn't appear till almost the end of the show). Got to see Keith again for the first time since 2001! (Yay! Keith! Hope you enjoyed the Acela ride) I'm not so sure I disagree with the Stevie comments, but the singing was great. I just wish she would "unleash" herself a bit and have more fun. And I loved Mick's introduction of Stevie. Something along the lines of "No one messes with Stephanie. She knows too much about all of us." She finally played along with that one;-) Now, off to bed. Work tomorrow! |

Well I"m glad about Sara, it did so need to be toned down from the SYW version. It is fairly disheartening to continually hear these reviews of Stevie's lackluster performance. But if anyone is gonna be honest, it'll be a ledgie! I"m going to go to see them in April with absolutely no expectations from SN. I'll be expecting nothing so that way I won't be disappointed. I still think it's the boots. I guarantee that if she were wearing those dreadful frankenboks, she'd be moving around a lot more.

sara was the best song i thought. i loved silver springs too. it seemed like they were doing a little bit shorter versions of many of their songs to accommodate a longer setlist. rhiannon seemed really quick to me. i liked the toned down stage, although i did really like the sara video playing in the background on the last tour.
stevie's vocals sounded really wonderful in the garden. i was so excited when lindsey played oh well; that was a treat. |

It was a good show. I thought Stevie did a fantastic job on GDW. Lindsey was very happy to be there and put on a great performance all night!
.Highlights for me were Monday Morning, The Chain, GDW and IKINW. Lindsey said again that there will be a new album. Stevie gave an intro to Gypsy, basically just reciting the "paper flowers, back to the room" line. I was shocked when Kirsten Dunst said "excuse me" to me so she could get to her seat, just 5 down from me in row 4. ![]() My pictures came out crappy. I'm going to Izod tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have better. |

Her voice was as good as ever. And she did a great job on just about everything except, maybe, Dreams. I just thought the enthusiasm level was not what I'm used to seeing from Stevie. But, hey, if you really want a lack of enthusiasm--see John McVie. Totally looked like he'd rather be fishing. And, as far as Lindsey is concerned--bring on the ham. At least he looks like he's living in the moment and wants to be there. Ditto for Mick. And I'm no Mick fan, as everyone knows by now. Stevie, I'm cutting some slack. I don't know why but I think there's something bugging her, either physically or emotionally. |

Fleetwood Mac's golden oldies are aging just fine
NYDailyNews Family dynamics never cease to fascinate us - especially ones with histories as incestuous as Fleetwood Mac's. It should surprise no one, then, that the band's show at Madison Square Garden last night proved as musically vital, and as alive with subtext, as ever. This, despite the fact that the band had no new music to play, instead drawing most of the material from wells filled more than 30 years ago. Opening with 1975's jubilant "Monday Morning," the band's remaining four main members wove through a two hour and 20 minute set that functioned as a nearly unbroken greatest hits medley. The current "Unleashed" tour represents the band's second since singer/songwriter Christine McVie bailed. So, naturally, the defection has thrown a harder light on the complex interplay between Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Their songs threaded in and out of each other at last night's show just as the lives of these former lovers have. "Gypsy," Nicks' tale of emotional independence, played off Buckingham's admission of neurotic excess, "Go Insane" - together serving as an on-going public confession of their mutual needs and deficiencies. In "The Chain," the two harmonized about family bonds in a way that communicated less loyalty than threat. "You'll never break the chain," they brayed at each other. Consider these guys the original "reality show." The loss of McVie has robbed the group - which also features John McVie and Mick Fleetwood - of its most diplomatic voice. And she was missed on the few numbers that originally featured her, like "Say You Love Me." But as a happy consequence, the band rocked harder and found more room for Buckingham's fiendish guitar work. His obsessive arpeggios gave a richly tactile feel to "Big Love," while in "I'm So Afraid," he mined deep blues hues. The group kept things frisky by tweaking the arrangements and the harmonies in many songs. Buckingham delivered some with newly emphatic inflections. But the night's emotional highlight struck a tender note. When Nicks sang her song of age and humility, "Landslide," she read the line "I'm getting older, too," with an acceptance that showed not an ounce of regret. Some families, it seems, only grow more sure with age. |

I couldn't disagree more! Since I was kinda bored watching Stevie, I paid closer attention to John and Mick. What you see as boredom, I see as intense concentration, especially when John is plucking the bass rather than picking at it. Those fingers fly!
