Just for kicks... here are number one hits according to the Fleetwood Mac Legacy:

Trouble - No 1. in the Netherlands, South Africa, Australia
Dreams - No. 1 in the US
Whenever I Call You Friend - No 1. in Canada

Interestingly enough, in the US, Stevie has had two top 10 hits with Fleetwood Mac, whereas Lindsey had four, and Christine had four.
Yeah, but Stevie is still making great things happen and she is rocking. She is, without doubt, the most successful member of that band.

That is interesting. She, including her solo, stands above the others. However: that is interesting.

I didnt look it up, I remember it as something I heard or read once. Fleetwood Mac have never had a number one in this country, this country being Ireland. Everywhere was number 2. Little Lies was like a top ten aswell. And I assure you, I am my own FEMALE person. Peestie is MALE.

Whatever... I'm bored of this needless conflict...

The speed at which some people on this board get defensive about their respective favourite FM members is absolutely ridiculous... I ask again, what was the point of starting this thread? A thread with an inaccurate title, might one add..

I'm out!
HAHAAAA... You are just as quick to respond as anyone else. Calm down. Breathe. Take an Irish moment. ISn't that a flavored coffee? And no... if we can talk about other countries we can add in Solo. Which means the title of this is hardly inaccurate.

You seem to quarrel with other ledgies a lot. Aren't you having fun just posting here & reading what everyone else says? Personally, I love the interaction. I've been exchanging opinions, questions, & quips with the forum here for years, & I'm as easily amused today as I was when I first started. In fact, my love of Ledge conversation has outlasted my love of Fleetwood Mac. That alone makes it obvious that my band opinions are going to be snarky & sardonic, but I never intend to directly insult another ledgie.

Even Carrie, who you have painted as someone who loathes Stevie, has written more positive things about Stevie over the years than not.
The fact is the thread was posted to be antagonistic and, while it's great that Dreams was the Mac's only US number one, you can't expect to start a thread like this and not get people offering opinions etc. The funny thing is too that there's hardly any anti-Stevie talk in this thread.
i give her props when she deserves them. i love that new demo that was released.

Sheesh, what is up with all this arguing lately!? Y'all need to calm down. Stevie is a very important member of Fleetwood Mac, but so are all of the other memembers who have contributed to the band over the years.

Yes, on the US charts, the song that Stevie wrote was a number one. Personally, I feel that almost all of FM's songs should have been number ones!

It may seem like you are being a loyal, supportive fan by pointing out Stevie's success, but you really are doing her a disservice. With these kind of posts you are supporting the belief that her fans are a little obsessed and for lack of a better word, nuts.

You said it!

Back to the subject of "Dreams", without Lindsey there wouldn't have
been the song "Dreams". Who would have been her inspiration?
Then again who would have laid down in the tall grass with Lindsey,
if not Stevie??? (Ledgies don't count)

If you are going to use the quote feature, you should indicate if words are removed, or added to alter the meaning of the original quote. Thanks for representing the other extreme.

I really am a loyal and supporting fan, hardly obsessed. I just think that these boards are fun. This thread has all been funny, to me. It is obvious that people take this way too serisouly.

NUTS? Dear friend, no. My statements are meant, in this thread, to even the playing field and be funny. I just find it interesting when people go off and get tore up about these things.

Pale, you have no idea who I even am. You have no concept. So- calm down.

I understand for some people it's difficult to gage the level of someone's calmness in written form, but I'm not sure why you would think I wasn't calm in what I posted. As far as your posts being funny, it raises the argument; is something funny based on the intent of the person writing it, or how it is received?

Pale, I have enjoyment out of my posts. I find them amusing. Regardless of what anyone else thinks, or how they perceive them. My opinion is not popular, I get that, but my opinion gets other people thinking. It makes other people write me AWESOME messages about how right I am. It makes people write how wrong I am. Either way, it's only a message board and if this is all people have, I feel sorry for them. If this band is all people have, I feel even worse for them. This is just a venue for us to express ourselves.

BTW: I get a lot more messages about how people support what I am saying, but don't wanna get, "RIPPED APART" by expressing their feelings. If that's how people feel on this board, then someone needs to stand up and shoot passive-agressive, nasty comments back at these Ledge-Flaming-A*Holes. That is why I refuse to hold myself back because other people think what I think, but are afraid of writing it.

Paleshadow, I hardly changed the meaning of your statement. I only substituted
a pronoun you used for Stevie ("her"). I doubt that changed the meaning at all.

I admit I have edited other's quotes for comical reasons. (they've been pretty
obvious).

Just curious to what "extreme" I represent?
I've said good and bad about both Stevie and
Lindsey. I do try to keep my post positive if
possible.

what's really odd to me about this thread is that for all their stevie defending, neither kennation nor wolfontherun have posted about the new stevie demo. it's the most interesting thing we've gotten from stevie in years, but they are curiously mute. rather than have a discussion about the music itself, they're badmouthing just about everybody in this thread (i mean really, going after terry? who does that?).

meanwhile, there's an actual conversation going on involving people who normally think her recent output sucks (like sparky) and people who haven't posted in forever (like vanessa). so what gives?
