Right on, I agree. I was only saying that she is the only credited artist/composer for that track. I think that without Lindsey our Stevie Nicks would be a teacher somewhere doing Karaoke on Tuesday evenings. LOL

It wasn't number one in Ireland and she never said it was. It was their highest charting single and is one of their best known songs round these parts.

Lindsey did polish it up for her. Anyone who has ever heard her demos of all her hits knows that the basic "hook" of the song is created by her.

You know why? She's the best song writer in that band! I mean, she gets the substance of the song. Other than a few notes everyone else might as well have been just a producer.

Sorry but most here are coming from an American perspective. No offense to foreigners, my mother is from Europe and I have many friends and relatives over there.

Christine hit #1 in the US with Got a Hold On Me. It was the A/C Charts - but still a number 1

And there are plenty of positive posts about Stevie on The Ledge, the majority are positive in fact, you just choose to focus on the few negative ones.

She's never had a No.1 in Ireland where DigYourGrave is from. I believe that's what she was saying. Christine has come closer to being number one than Stevie there.
Surprised and hurt? from anons in a chat room? hardly. annoyed? absofreakinlutly.

Well in one way she is superior to the others in that she had the # hit . Sorry I know that makes some here angry and jealous.

I never said it was number one! Jeeeez.. I said it came extremely close.. as in, whats close to number one; number two!

Please give me your website information? Wtf?
I didnt look it up, I remember it as something I heard or read once. Fleetwood Mac have never had a number one in this country, this country being Ireland. Everywhere was number 2. Little Lies was like a top ten aswell. And I assure you, I am my own FEMALE person. Peestie is MALE.

Whatever... I'm bored of this needless conflict...

The speed at which some people on this board get defensive about their respective favourite FM members is absolutely ridiculous... I ask again, what was the point of starting this thread? A thread with an inaccurate title, might one add..

I'm out!

You've GOT to be kidding me!
Are implying what I think you're implying?
That just because you don't think the chart records from other countries are important, they don't deserve to be mentioned in your Stevie/Dreams pat on the back thread?!?

Of course not! But before you call this foolish, don't worry- some of his best friends are European.

He lives in the Netherlands, where GYOW and Oh Well both made no. 1. Here in Canada, You Make Lovin' Fun and Dreams made no. 1.

Just for kicks... here are number one hits according to the Fleetwood Mac Legacy:

Trouble - No 1. in the Netherlands, South Africa, Australia
Dreams - No. 1 in the US
Whenever I Call You Friend - No 1. in Canada

Interestingly enough, in the US, Stevie has had two top 10 hits with Fleetwood Mac, whereas Lindsey had four, and Christine had four.
