if this has been discussed already, i do apologize. Is there an opening act for this concert? It doesnt say on TM and the Box office doesnt know either. I am guessing "NO" like on the last tour...Does the show start on time? I usually skip the opening act,but dont want to miss a second of the FM show. any info would help.
Thanks.... |

That's a shame, I've discovered many great bands, some who became headliners (and some who are still touring steadily) that were opening acts. Heck, even Fleetwood Mac used to be an opening act even after Lindsey & Stevie joined...and even one Lindsey Buckingham was the opening act for a few Tina Turner shows in 1992/93.
Some opening acts I've seen that you might recognize: Rick Vito's Blue Moderne Walter Egan Dave Mason Band Paris (w/Bob Welch) Bob Welch Little Feat The Doobie Brothers UFO The Outlaws Randy Meisner Etta James Peter Tosh Loggins & Messina Bonnie Raitt Ry Cooder The Wallflowers Wishbone Ash Sanford Townsend Band (Remember "Smoke From A Distant Fire"?) Bachman-Turner Overdrive Elvin Bishop Band Marshall Tucker Band Charlie Daniels Band

I agree with Chili. I never skip an opening act. The opening acts are part of the whole concert-going experience -- the good, the bad, and the ugly. Sometimes they are so good they become a new favorite; sometimes they're so bad they become legendary and are talked about for years to come!
Heck, the first time I saw Fleetwood Mac THEY were the opening act. (Oct. 1975, on the bill with Jefferson Starship.) What if I had "skipped the opening act" for THAT concert?

Worst opening act of all time- Institute, opening for U2 in Boston, December 4, 2005. Gavin Rossdale's old side/vanity project. Probably the worst concert experience I've ever had.

My God - who did you see Bonnie Raiit supporting?! She's amazing, I'd go crazy if I saw her as a support band, it would be awesome!
