Well, we knew they were arguing about the sequencing on SYW. It is pretty bad. There's no reason that album should open with WTWCT and Murrow. That's horrid. Then, having RTTG and Silver Girl run back to back has caused me physical injury.
She's like, "Lindsey said something pretty interesting yesterday." I think she thought it was the first interesting thing he'd said in 43 years. Michele Last edited by michelej1; 03-12-2009 at 01:16 AM.. |

she was sure to make it sound that way... ![]() I can hear the conversation now... L: stevie, ya know there wasn't a lot of truth to those songs, right? S: huh? what?! ...uhhhhhh yea, yea...riiight...not much truth there...we made all that crap up... (whimper) Last edited by BTFLCHLD; 03-12-2009 at 01:25 AM.. |

You know, I just realized there was nothing from SYW on the Unleashed tour. I'm surprised I didn't think to complain about that long ago, but I didn't even notice. She reminded me when she said all of Lindsey's songs on SYW put them in an awkward position and he knew it.
Nice of the interviewer to remind her: "You were dating Jimmy Iovine at the time." That gets on my nerves. This is the first time we've gotten details about the DVD/CD. I'm not sure why her Soundstage would have been buried if it came out just before the election. I mean, isn't it more likely to get buried by other musical releases rather than by political events? Funny when she said that Lindsey's not going to wait for her and keep playing while she gets dressed between songs. He's just going to stand there and start whistling. Michele

I found interesting she wasn't at first sure what exactly was on the dvd...something like she didn't spend much time looking at that...then she detailed a little. Lindsey made reference I believe within his KLOS interview that he wasn't to sure what would be on the DVD either... guess they're not that involved in the DVD.
ohwell, another collector's piece... should be interesting as it will be like "we are in a corner of the room."OK...I would have liked a SYW or two... I'd like to hear LIVE RTTG, Everybody Finds Out, Thrown Down...maybe even Destiny Rules...but definitely not Miranda ![]() |

You know what they say, takes one to know one.
Anything the woman says will be taken the worst possible way and blown out of proportion by some people on here. This just in Stevie caused global warming ![]() |

It seems Say You Will has become Fleetwood Mac's version of Street Angel. At least that's how it appears by the way they have all been bashing it lately. Incidentally, 21 of the 23 songs in the 'Unleashed' set were released before the year 1984. I think it's absurd that this band chooses to pretty much ignore the last quarter century of their work.

What do they have to choose from after 1987 that's good?

I certainly hope you're being sarcastic, but if not:
Seven Wonders Everywhere Tango In The Night Isn't It Midnight Little Lies No Questions Asked Save Me Freedom Twisted Sweet Girl Bleed To Love Her Thrown Down Miranda Say You Will Peacekeeper Running Through The Garden Steal Your Heart Away Everybody Finds Out Destiny Rules Say Goodbye Of course, this is all just my opinion. You may think each and every one of these songs are crap and do not deserve to be recognized and/or aren't worthy enough to be performed live. |

"Twisted" would have been an inspired choice for this tour.

(I did mention the year 1987). To each his own, but to use your words I think most of those songs are crap. I like "Twisted" and a few of the songs from "Say You Will". As a group I don't think the've released anything great since Tusk. I did like Mirage and Tango. But they are a little too sugary sweet for my taste. That doesn't mean I want them to retire though. Lindsey's recent solo albums gives me hope that we might be able to get one more good album. Stevie's solo work, that's another story. At least after OSOTM. Very little has appealed to me after that. But I'm happy with the great music she did give us. |
