I set a 'no drinks' at the keyboard policy after my first one. Haha.

Great rule! I need to follow suit, as I can keep my keyboards longer that way..

I had a more catastrophic disaster as it took out the hard drive as well, so it was easier to accede to.

What was this one all about? It doesn't sound good for whomever she was speaking to! Was this comment followed by the Stevie stare?

I tried posting to this thread yesterday, then realised although I've been reading this forum for a while now, I'd never signed up..

Anyway- on the note of Stevie sounding bad on Rhiannon and Dreams, I was watching some of the Tusk rehearsals last night, and while Dreams was good, Rhiannon was awful (I think it was in the concert itself also). The only times she hits the high notes are at the end, with 'Taken by, taken by the sky' and possibly 'Rhiannon!'. She literally sang most of the song an octave lower (I assume a lot of the Nicks criticism now is about the lower singing too?).

Given this was back in '79, it seems unfair to say these days she's 'suddenly not singing the oldies like she used to'. Singers have good times and bad times quite often, and in any case Rhiannon started to sound bad as far back as 30 years ago, IMHO.

Ooh, and I buy Tulsa 'Unleashed' tickets today!!! w00t! I'm so glad I moved from Australia in time to see them..

Who decided SOTM wasn't going to be played any more? They always rock it out live, it sounds so much better than Storms or Rhiannon or a lot of Stevie's numbers. And she always does it *right*. The one time I actually feel like Stevie inhabits her 'witch' persona. I'm a guy and I think that song's cool!

Well, she always did it right decades ago.

This reminds me of Stevie saying that the entire time they were recording Tusk, there was a man outside the door and she never knew what he was there for, during the whole period.

A question we have often asked here. Nobody knows.

Nice point But to be fair to myself, SN and LB really don't sound THAT different decades later, and for me, the guitar solos at the end are my highlights of SOTM. I love Stevie's singing, but the song really peaks when she's dancing or twirling or whatever and Lindsey is playing for his life and John and Mick are going ape. When the band's genuine like that is my favourite.

Bring new here I guess it's a n00b question, but it still sucks. Maybe they think that belongs to the bad days when they were hippies, or something. It's almost like Stevie is embarrassed of some of those 70's songs. I wonder if there's any truth to that.

As for Lindsey carrying FM, IMHO, the only time Lindsey has ever done that is by choice or in his own mind (eg Tusk). I think he can do it successfully. I just don't think anyone would genuinely want him to be a solo artist 'carrying' FM and not part of the band. Just seems like forum/fan politics that people enjoy, although that's a big call for a new member
