You can start to see how grainy they are when they're cropped

These are really fantastic. I especially like the one where John and Mick are about to clasp hands. Thanks for these.

Hmm, she must have been singing Gypsy in this pic... "maybe once, maybe twice"... I love those song-specific Stevie hand gestures. Thanks again.

Default ok... I AM BACK TO KENTUCKY!!!

hey everyone! I just had my first ILAA experience and my first time being FRONT ROW... CENTER for a Fleetwood Mac concert! Here is how is worked...

I met David, Radar, Edge, and Donna in the Lobby at the palace. We chatted. It was nice to meet everyone... I HOPE YOU ALL HAD AS MUCH FUN AS I DID!!!

WE met our representative, Corey, in the lobby. She gave us our exclusive FM gift bags. Content inside: A CD case with FLEETWOOD MAC UNLEASHED 2009 etched into it, Fleetwood Mac Unleashed luggage bag tag, GIFT of SCREWS, Blue Again (Mick), a FM tote (for green grocery shoppin???) WE all signed in, got our laminates, which just ROCKED for me, as you could imagine, right?! WE went up and did some merchandise shopping. I bought the "red" FM hoodie... In actuality... it's like a mauve, or maroon... BUT I WILL LOVE IT FOREVER, BECAUSE OF WHAT HAPPENED NEXT...

We went up stairs, in the palace to a restaurant, which was reserved for the group. WE ordered drinks, and were given gift cards for us to purchase those drinks, and food, if we wanted to. Corey told us that the band was flying in from Chicago and had hit bad weather so Mick would be a little late.

She passed out FM quizes, which I aced, imagine that?! Then she got the phone call... Mick was there and Mick was ready. WE followed Corey and were stopped by some really old man who said we didn't have clearance to go into the arena. Corey confirmed that we did and basically pushed onward. We followed, while smiling, lol. We walked down the steps, and got next to the stage. The crew was standing about and welcomed us. We went by the stage, we were SOOOO close to the stage I could feel the heat from the lights. Corey held a curtain for us and we went into the backstage area.

We met the concert director, for cameras, and sound... Which was cool. He had some interesting things to say, but I could barely hear him for the beating in my heart. That is when they said, "Come on out, Mick." Mick walked in and I lost my knees, for a second, lol. We were all in a line and he went down one at a time and greeted us.

He informed us that the band had been struck by lightning while on the plane. Immediately, out of my mouth, I sang, "Lightning strikes... Maybe once... Maybe twice." Mick smiled he said, "Yep! That will have a new meaning tonight." We each walked up 2 at a time, since most of us were couples, and had our picture taken. He then answered some group questions...

ARE YOU READY LEDGE FANS??? I ASKED THE QUESITON YOU ALL HAVE WAITED FOR: When, if ever, is Sisters of the Moon going to be added to the setlist?

MICK: Not as of right now. We did that one not terribly long ago so, maybe on the next leg, but maybe not at all.

He then signed our things. Someone had a drum head, and others had their totes signed. I had my HOODIE signed!!! It is AWESOME!

So after that, we all hugged and said goodbye to Mick. Seriously, the nicest guy, ever! I think he is a little deaf, but I would be too after all the noise he has suffered through the years.

So... we finally get our tickets. BEN AND I WERE FRONT ROW DIRECTLY BETWEEN LINDSEY AND STEVIE!!! I was awesome!!! I cannot tell you! I jumped and sang the entire night. I can say this: Lindsey and I played back and forth the entire night. I would growl and he would growl. At the end, I did the bow thing and he bowed back. He pointed to me a lot and I felt like I was there to see him. This guy IS A ROCK GOD! I am sorry if that offends anyone, but there ya go.

Stevie? She was fantastic, but I can't help saying... She seems like she feels about performing the way I do about serving tables. Sure she has fun, but she is kind of over it... ya know? She still gave one hell of a concert! Lindsey never seemed to leave the stage, but he did every now and then. Never as long as Stevie though... LOL

BIG LOVE WAS AWESOME and TUSK WAS BREATH TAKING!!!

I hope that this gives you an insight as to how great the show was!

I will have my pictures posted on my myspace page by this evening and will send you all the link!

Love,
Kenn

Yeah... like hey, it was only 27 years or so... practically yesterday . Anyway, it sounds like you had a phenomenal time... I'm sure it was worth every penny. So did Mick field any questions about a new album anytime soon?

Just that it is not happening, yet. I said, "WE WANT IT!" I even said that to Lindsey as he was talking and he looked down and smiled and said, "Yeah..." Kind of like he knew that we wanted it this time around, lol.

Default If you can you must attend one of the "Unleashed" shows......

Fleetwood Mac; "Unleashed",

The Palace, Auburn Hills, Detroit, Michigan,

Sunday, March 8, 2009,

Absolutely "THE BEST", concert I have ever attended,

The Palace is a great venue, the Staff were very friendly, and, helpful,

all the way from the "Rain Soaked" Parking Staff, (could it have rained any heavier before the show), to the Event Security Staff on the Floor,

The Dining Establishments; (specifically the Jack Daniels, #7), were "delicious",

The Crowd; was "Fantastic".......(yes, some individuals did leave early, to avoid the traffic....????),

The Band; well, just appears to be getting better with age.....

Stevie; "absolutely Stunning",

Lindsey; "absolutely Unbelievable",

I can not wait for the next opportunity to see this band,

Met the following Ledgies; DavidMn, Kennation, Melacine, Glittermoondust, (awesome photography ladies, well done),

missed meeting Jen77, (sorry, I was late due to the rain),

wish all of you Ledgies could have attended this show, which according to DavidMn, was the best of the tour so far,

(you can't really argue with a guy who has seen 106 Fleetwood Mac / Stevie Nicks / Lindsey Buckingham shows),

sorry if this post lacks a lot of detail about the show itself, but I have had 2 hrs sleep since Sunday morning.......

Lindsey could hear you when you growled? That is absolutely fantastic. I am so pleased to hear you got front row center.

Michele, I would say something and he would nod, or respond! Watch the Big Love clip on youtube. Just after, "You say that you love me..." he looked down to me and finished the line. Anytime I scream, growl, or interact he got even crazier! We had a blast. FRONT ROW, CENTER. Worth every penny. I will never be able to pay my partner back, ever. Emotionally. AND FINANCIALLY-lol

That's great Kenn.... Your excitement came through in your story.... I kept wondering while reading the part about being escorted to the stage and then backstage how I would be if I met one of them.

Is that Corey Buckingham by chance doing the ILAA?? Anyone know?

The look on Lori's face is perplexing... Is she wondering how Stevie's going to react to something?

That's a cool shot of her in the Top Hat!
