They both write about "walls" and how in recent years the walls have come down.

The imagery he uses is so consistent with hers it is spooky. When he used "black angel" in Love Runs Deeper , I was floored. It is so "Steviesque".
Great that you mentioned those two songs. I completely agree with you. It's so neat that his wife "gets them" so well, isn't it? I mean, since she co-wrote those two particular songs. I bet they invite Stevie over to play Yahtzee with them...

I don't think she has. Actually, Lindsey has talked about he and Chris developing musically on parallel lines more than once.

He said:
Quote:
She and I have a real valid kind of rapport between us, something that was there before we even met. It's like she can play the piano and I can play the guitar just wonderfully along with her. It's almost like parallel lines during our formative years of music until we met, and it gave us a lot of common ground."
So, when he said parallel lines in LRD, that's what I thought of.

But yes, I think of Stevie when I hear black angel can't stand to be alone.

My favorite is when she says, "you've shaken my faith in everything else" and in CAD he says, "Magic one, all our dreams are done. I have no faith today."

Basically, to me the lyric says, it looks like we've hit the end of the line, because this baby deserves a full time father and to grow up in the type of family I had. So, I have no faith today. That is, I have no hope for our love any more.

And I can't lie, I'm no shipper, but they are the cutest older couple, if it were only true. They just...match. One of my girlfriends was over and I showed her a few pics, since she's seeing them in concert with me, and she thought they were a couple.
Exactly. Stevie and Lindsey have something very special and very real. I love them together.

My introduction to the BN era was The Dance DVD. I was blown away by Stevie and Lindsey's chemistry. Like your friend, I definitely thought they were a couple.

Well I for one would love a few more summer dates. There is one show my family is thinking about going to- but it's still up in the air- we're very much waiting last minute!

I would also very much love a new Mac album- any kind of album with new material. 'twould be Great!!!

Stevie has more than once. I searched quickly and found one, but not the one I was looking for. From US Magazine, 2003

"it strange sharing the stage with your ex, Lindsey Buckingham? Sometimes he takes me back to 1971-he's still thin and pretty gorgeous. Often, I think we live in a parallel universe, where we're not sure if it is 1973 or 2003.

Oh yes and she used parallel universe in Destiny Rules too, I just meant she has not described her and Lindsey as being parallel lines.

Oh, that is true. Not parallel lines. My bad.

The 'parallel lines' made me think of LB's Soundstage when Stevie sang that piece of "Frozen Love". He sort of drew parallel lines out with his finger and thumb, telling her: "Those were some great two part harmony parts that we did."

In music, there is a term called: "parallel harmony", described as " harmony lines that go in the same direction as the melody"...

That's what that line made me think of.

I think of two people taking different paths and directions and still always arriving at the same place. It's like you separate yourselves or life separates you, but destiny keeps you joined and even when you're apart, maybe you're feeling the same thing and still sharing the same bond.

The Treason lyrics are so beautiful because they are searching for each other. He's walking around garden walls (RTTG?) searching for the other person and that person is in the ocean searching for him. Apart, but concerted action. The "full of grace" reminded me of EOTW.

That's true, I thought of that perspective too about the parallel lines...

I love the Treason lyrics - "deep down in the ocean" made me think of "drowning in the sea of love". Also, he mentions grace here, "saw your face, full of grace searching for me".

It's beautiful.

Yes, and in CAD he came right out and said, "it would do no good to drown in the sea."

Unless they're immortal, it will get finished one way or another.
