Do they let you bring a camera.. or do you have to sneak it?.. I'm a little worried about BLue Cross Arena in Rochester~ Haven't seen a show there in awhile...just got a new camera and have 2nd row.. so I want to be able to take pics.. They were cool at Turning stone in 2007... Where do you hide it if you do sneak it?

The Allstate Arena had a sign posted that read "No Professional Cameras", so I was able to get my cheap little digital camera in. I think it's so hard for them to stop cameras these days due to all the cell phones with cameras! However, my girlfriend tried to record the show on her iPod and was told to turn it off.

So...have fun and take lots of pics!!! Can't wait to see them!

Did they do a frisk or search your purse???Hee hee! I'm trying to think where to put it! I just bought a sony 10x zoom that's not to big but not sure if I have to sneak it or if its fine in the bottom of my purse! Maybe I could squeeze it in a boot or sock! Lol!
can't wait to see the rest of yours too... Great pics the ones I've seen!

I asked in an earlier post, but did anyone get a video? Or at least some sound... I am STALKING Silver Springs for fear that she will calm down before Sunday and it will be another SYW deal...

I will try to take some video tonight. Silver Springs duly noted. As for Allstate/Rosemont did you all know they "christened" the venue, i.e. they were the first act to play there in 79. It is ****ty sound generally, but I can't think of a large venue in Chicago that isn't. I think the United Center is even worse. I haven't been to the Sears Center in Hoffman Estates, however.

Glad everyone had a good time. I'm very excited for tonight!

Awesome trivia about them christening the venue. That's cool. Thanks for keeping your head up on Silver Springs. I appreciate it. Tonight is the last concert before my show... YAAAAAYY!!!!

I lost a Leica at one of Lindsey's solo concerts and after that, I never really try to bring them anymore, but I would hide them in my back waistband. I'd have on a jacket and that would cover the bulge. 80% of the time they do such a cursory examination of your purse that you can sneak it in that way, but just in case they are more thorough having it on your person where there is no bulge seems to be secure.

The acoustics are about the same as the United Center, if not worse. Its an old barn (complete with wooden roof). Due to its proximity to O'Hare, the ceiling is dramatically lower than most comparable venues- thus, all the seats are practically right on top of each other, creating a very cramped, uncomfortable feel. The concourses, also cramped and confusingly meandering, give the impression they were designed by a drunken five year old. Its less than 30 years old, but gives every impression that its twice or three times that.

The main parking lot is so small and cramped that its one of those where you have to wait for everyone around you to leave first before you can go. If you can't park there, you have to park in neighboring lots and take a shuttle to the venue. Rosemont (the city) is a seedy dump, and public transportation from Chicago is a royal pain.

I've been to a lot of concerts in a lot of different venues in a lot of different cities, and, without question, Allstate Arena is far and away the worst.

DON'T HOLD BACK, LUKE! LOL It's nice that someone is giving a good warning, though. I always want to hear the warnings before I consider my course of action. However: I seriously doubt a drunken five year old could have accomplished that design... I am just saying... The drunken 5 year olds I know are lazy bast*rds...
