The idea of people chasing Mick is funny to me. Which hotel was it? The older one? The Owen Penn something? I passed it when I was coming in.

That's curious about not ever meeting John. Where does the guy keep himself? I think Jannie from FMLegacy saw him in New Jersey once. He walked right through the lobby and no one recognized him. We know Lindsey likes to fiddle with music in his spare time, but I wonder what John does to relax on the road, since he can't escape to a boat. I guess it's strange for Lindsey being buddies with Neale and Brett on the solo tour and traveling together on the plane and then being isolated from them on an FM tour, no longer on the same level.

Ooh. When I saw that big W when I was walking to the Mellon, I wished I had stayed there. I was at the Doubletree and didn't really like it. But I got a warm cookie at check-in, so I supposed that balances things out.

Some people might say that about you David. You're very lucky that LB & his people recognize you & trust that you're not going to harm them.

yeah the westin is really nice. my friends and i have stayed there a few times for bachelorette parties and stuff. its really not even that expensive either and now they have a walkway from the hotel that goes into the convention center. there are other hotels in pittsburgh that are just as nice though but just about every band stays at the westin.
my friends and i used to go to a ton of shows back in our 20's and we used to follow the bands buses to that hotel all the time. their security is so crazy though that they would lock all the doors and not let anybody in. HA! we always joked about getting a room while our favorite band is there but were too cheap to pay for it.

I will say this though I got a chance to talk to Both Mick and Lindsey before the show at the hotel and Lindsey, when he saw me said "Dave, good to see you. I knew youd be here."

This is from the Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune. Most of the article is a rehash of what we've already read, but I don't think I'd seen this little bit before:

By Jon Bream

http://www.startribune.com/entertain...tml?page=2&c=y

Fleetwood Mac's ticket prices have jumped 20 percent from the last tour -- from a top of $125 to $150 this time. Other Rock and Roll Hall of Fame acts, including AC/DC and Bruce Springsteen, are keeping their top prices under $100 in economically challenging 2009.

Can Fleetwood Mac explain the discrepancy?

"We don't do the amount of gigs that, say, a Bruce Springsteen or an AC/DC does," Fleetwood said. "We're doing 46 gigs. We're not doing 250 gigs."

Does that mean that Fleetwood Mac makes more money off a shorter tour than Springsteen or AC/DC do for a longer tour with less expensive tickets?

"I doubt it," Fleetwood said. "It's actually probably the other way around."

that is interesting to say the least especially since we all know there are going to be more tour dates this summer. how many shows did fm play on the say you will tour? i swear it was over 100 right? if they dropped the ticket prices they would definitley sell more tickets and would make up for it. geesh!

what the hell is wrong with them? i need to stop reading these articles. they are driving me up a wall and down the other side.

if nothing else, someone should remind mick that they did a gazillion friggin' SYW shows and their top tickets were still more expensive than AC/DC and springsteen.

wow 135 shows is a lot!! yeah these articles kinda annoy me too. I expect that they are going to charge a lot but seriously the economy sucks so they should try to keep their prices a little lower. I think $100 is a fair price. I hope that they keep getting asked this question again and again so maybe they will really start to think lowering it for the next set of dates.

I'll hopefully have pictures to share when I get back home on Wednesday. I will have them up on my website (Melodic Rock Concerts) and I'll post a link here as well.

Too bad the reporter didn't know that in addition to those costs, they have an expensive ILAA ticket AND Mick's own personal $200.00 fee for the 30 seconds he will spend with the fans.
