It looked almost sold out last night. I was 7 rows back in front of Lindsey. That man gave it his all. I love watching him play guitar. I'm a big Stevie fan, but thought she was very subdued last night. She looked fabulous. The red was great to see on her. I've been a fan since 1975 when I was in High School. I'm 47 now and have no desire to stop loving this group. I don't care if they play the same songs or not. The last time the group toured was in 2003 and I was just as amazed last night as I was then. I think the SYW tour was more interactive and bigger, but this was the first night. Overall, I'm still so happy I spent a fortune and went.

I was disappointed, but not after seeing the setlist.

I was disappointed months ago when this **** all started to hit the fan.

Having said that, I'm still going to see them in April.

Hey Josh2003, I am glad you are still gonna go see the show. I really think your going to have a great time because the show is so good and you figure its only going to get better by the time you see them. I really want to go see them in either Cleveland, New York, or Toronto again. It was that good!

Sure I would love to hear new music but honestly, if they included ONE new song then everyone would be bitching that "Such and such a song took the place where they could have played SISTERS OF THE MOON!!!!" What would annoy me a lot would be if there was a new album or some new material and then it was just ignored in concert. Nothing frustrates more than a band promoting a new album and using it as an excuse to tour but then playing none or maybe one song in total.

They came out with the intent to play hits - the tour was promoted that way. Hell, they even said it in concert (we just wanted to come out and play the songs you all know and hope you all love as much as we do). They are out making money, it's their job! They have a job for the same reason all of us do - to make cash! They don't owe us new songs or a new album or anything.

I thought the show they put on last night, and I was there, was friggin awesome. They tore the place down - it was LOUD, exciting, and a show I won't soon forget. Yeah, if they were Springsteen, the next show they would come out and open with I Don't Want to Know, Oh Well, Blue Letter, Countdown, Angel, Frozen Love (in that order)...and so on from there. Fleetwood Mac doesn't do this - they never have and they never will.

I want to see Gypsy, Sara, Storms, OH Well...etc.
I actually like the set-list.

Then again, I probably have waited to long for a decent seat.

I'm not embarassed, no. A bit disappointed, maybe, but still interested enough to see them, albeit without the urgency i would normally have felt these last 25 years or so. I've almost decided that i'll attend 2 shows and go for the worst seats i can get, to economize

After all, there's no 'Edge walk' on a Mac tour, i've been in the first few rows 'gazillion' of times (4 times during the SYW tour alone) and i don't expect or even want to make any superficial connection interacting with the band as they, uh, unleash this set of songs, it'll just be nice to hear the music, 'Storms', 'Say You Love Me' and 'Silver Springs'- And i recall that my favorite FMac experience was in nosebleed seats at The Forum in LA for the '82 Mirage tour, and after that show, i vowed always to be up close, and was, but now it doesn't matter to me.
What i'm a bit disappointed about, though not surprised, is that this setlist only covers Stevie's output from 1975 through 1982 with Mac, and with 'Stand Back' we get 1983 represented-- I think 'Tango In The Night' needs to be represented with both the title song from Lindsey, and 'Seven Wonders' from Stevie. That at least would bring us songs from up to 1987-88, and small things make a difference in not making it seem like such the ancient relics show it kind of is. Nostalgia aint what it used to be.
I also feel 'Straight Back' from Mirage would be a much better choice than 'Gypsy' since i just don't like 'G' live. 'Mirage' was a #1 album in the day, and people did listen to the entire albums, so i think it would be somewhat familiar to most who have the cd, and very well-received by longtime fans who have always wanted to hear it live.
Other than 'Rumours', 'Tango In The Night' was their best-selling album, worldwide it topped 7 million units sold. The title song was a fantastic tour-de-force for LB, and 'Little Lies' was a huge hit, so i think 'Little Lies' would be an excellent choice as it's hardly ever been done live. And 'Seven Wonders' did hit the Top 20, so really, 'LL' and 'SW' were the final 2 big hits of Fleetwood Mac, and i think they need to be in the show.
I like the inclusion of 'Storms' but it would be kewl if they alternated it with 'Angel' and, yes, 'Sisters of the Moon' so there'd be some element of 'what will we get tonight?' rather than knowing- it won't change. Or will it?
I should be at The Mohegan Sun Show in less than 2 weeks, and will probably also do Boston. It's been great reading about opening night here on The Ledge, thank you.

i agree that stevie acts like a diva, but i don't think she's solely to blame for their stagnancy. i seriously doubt any of them are doing this tour to get the creative juices flowing.

Well let us not forget we are talking about a band that has, in the last THIRTY years, released albums of all new material in 1979, 1982, 1987, 1990, 1994, and 2003. It's not like they have always churned out tons of new material. Six albums over thirty years when there have been two or more songwriters in the band....not anything spectacular!

Plus, it's not like Lindsey is some recording maniac either. Oh, so recently he's been on a tear, but for how many years did he "plan" to release an album but never did for one reason or another.

My point is, I woudl say they all have some blame as to why they haven't recorded new music. I have a strong feeling all of them were turned off of the process during the Say You Will era. Maybe they don't feel like spending the time and money to record something that, IN THEIR OPINION, won't be well received by their fans.

I agree that the band does not seem to be doing this tour to get the creative juices flowing. That could very well be one reason why Stevie appears disengaged. I suspect she will get better as the weeks progress.

What I am realizing is that this is a band that often takes baby steps when it comes to making tour changes. We get excited by the number of spins Stevie does, the color dress she wears (I do too). The Stand Back, 1,2,3,4, was one of the big highlights. Looking at it again tonight, I can't help but think that there is so much more potential to this band. Unleashed, this is not.

In my imaginary perfect tour, they would have revived songs from the Buckingham Nicks era, particularly Frozen Love. I may still buy a ticket for this tour just because seeing something is better than nothing, I think.
