Again, it seems the publicity machine for Reprise is totally messed up. I went on Amazon.com looking for info about the new record. Of course theres nothing. Then I look up the new Maria McKee album being released in late May, and lo and behold not only is the tracklisting there, it also shows a cover of the record. It's like good grief, ya know!! So many missed opportunities and the album isnt even released yet.
Also, whats up with the touring schedule?! I'm hearing on my local radio station commercials for James Taylor tickets going on sale this weekend for his scheduled performance in AUGUST. Its cool to see someone actually planning ahead. Now I'm wondering when the video for "Peacekeeper" will be released, or if theres going to be a video at all. I guess they'll do the same thing they did with "Every Day" and release the video a month after the song comes out! I find it all very frustrating!

Corporations never cease to amaze me. I like the WB stuff (no flames please), but if I were Stevie or her manager (Oh the Day
), I would have seen to it that she was at the Grammy Awards with Sheryl Crowe and looking radiant and talking to every single news person on that red carpet abour SYW. Then Stevie along with Queen L. would have introduced the Dixie Chicks and/or handed them their Grammy all while somehow plugging SYW. Next, maybe another interview with Vanity Fair prior to the release. In all fairness, I am sure they have interviews lined up after the record is released, and Warners did a great job IMO with The Dance (#1 debut) and TISL (#5 debut). So, I continue to have faith despite it all ![]() |

I second that emotion!! Where was she/all the other band members?? What a good opportunity that they passed up on....I feel like they are really waiting till the last minute to publicize this thing....everytime I go to Barnes and Noble I look at every magazine convinced that I am going to see their name somewhere, and I have yet to see ANYTHING...... hey there
while searching around for any new info (my now constant obsession ) I saw that they are doing some promotion on AOHeLL, (a la Sheryl Crow, which I think is kinda hokey, but at least it's something ) They will be Artist of the Month for March, are doing an interview for "Sessions@AOL" (THIS FRIDAY), and the single will be on "First Listen" on the 5th....I wonder if they will be on the AOHeLL TV commercials, and the "welcome" voices, like Sheryl was... (that's what I meant by the 'hokey' stuff, it really got old in her case)I AM glad there is something happening though... ![]()
