For me, I don't really understand what the big appeal is to have something Stevie (or anyone) wrote their name on. I personally would never buy an autograph, even if I was positive it was legitimate because I think the thrill is in meeting the person, perhaps having your photo taken with them and having them sign something specifically to you. I once had a neighbor who happened to be eating dinner at the same restaurant as Stevie when she was in my town on tour. He got her autograph on a napkin and offered to give it to me. While I was PO'ed that he was lucky enough to meet her, and wasn't even really a fan, I had no desire to have an autograph that I didn't get myself. Again, that's just how I feel about it.

So for those of you who are excited to receive this, or those who won't be what is it that excites you about this? Is it just because Stevie touched it, and in a way it will make you feel close to her? Or is it more a feeling of having something "collectible" like a signed piece of art?
For me, it's the part I bolded. I'm a MAJOR collector of all things Mac. Even when I do meet celebs in person, I would much rather have a photo with them than ask them to prove to me that they know how to write their own name.

What I'm angry about in this instance, is the misleading, conniving way that Warner Bros. extorted the diehard fans - yet again. Fan Club Fiasco of 2003?? Anyone??

Here's how the pre-order offer should have been written:

Stevie's epic Soundstage Sessions concert in Chicago!
The DVD features over 2 hours of stunning footage from this legendary concert! The CD includes brand new studio versions of classics like "Stand Back", "Sara", "Landslide" and MANY, MANY MORE! Order by March 31, 2009 and receive a free lithograph (one per order); the first (exact number) to order this STEVIE NICKS LIMITED EDITION CD/DVD SET will receive a lithograph personally signed by Stevie Nicks! Click HERE to Pre-Order now!

Had it read that way to begin with, I'd have no reason to bitch.
