Arrow I got it at Micks' BBS, seteca. LOL

I got the 50% version from Micks' BBS and now that I've heard the burnish.com version, I'm a lil calmer and happier now. LOL You CAN hear Lindsey better and the guitar part I was PEEVED about last night is THERE, it was muted for TV apparently. AND, that wierd uh, uh, huh, uh, uh sound is THERE whereas in the one we all hate, it's missing...LONG LIVE THE WIERD FREAKY SOUND on PEACEKEEPER!!!! LOL

I STILL like Lindsey's version the best. It ROCKS and is more upbeat (like ya'll have said already) and it's more ROCK, whereas the FM version is WAY more pop.

In the words of Twisted Sister....I WANNA ROCK!! <---ME headbanging!

I absolutely loved this song! I loved the way Stevie and Lindsey harmonized.. their voices just sound awesome together! After hearing this song last night, I am even more anxious to hear the whole album. April 15th can't come quick enough for me!

I really liked Lindsey's solo of this song, but I like this version better. Stevie's additional vocals harmonizing with Lindsey's lifts the song to new heights imo. I also like the more melodic sound the song has now as opposed to the aggressive tone it had before. Hey what can I say... I'm older and I think my headbanging days are over.

Yo.........easy there killer.....I simply meant that I really liked the harmonies.....and even though it is just Stevie and Lindsey singing the main parts....there are defintely other voices in there singing background harmonies.....it was that classic Fleetwood sound that I really like. Jeeeeeeeeez!

No offense intended. Maybe my tone was brisk. That's what I get for writing a response during my short lunch break. Or maybe more smileys might make me seem nicer

My pointr was that I missed the multi-overdubbed tecnique of harmony Lindsey used in the original. I love that he and Stevie sing it together, I just wish they's overdubbed themselves doing it a few more times.

The second version is much more balanced and sounds a lot better. I personally love it. The harmonizng between those two is out of this world. If I could only change one thing it would be...and don't get mad..a little bit of Christine on there too.

I must say I am Buckingham/Nicks -centric and look forward to hearing them work together closely again. This might not have happened to this extent if Chris were still around.I'm not saying Stevie would have phoned in her part like she more or less did on the last couple FM studio albums ,but she may not have rushed to help fill the void as completely as it is now seeming that she has.and those Buckingham/Nicks harmonies still chill after 30 years of recording together'they should be together'

JUST TO LET YOU KNOW....THE REASON FOR THE COMPLAINTS...SOME TELEVISIONS ARE ONLY RECIEVING A MONO SIGNAL AND THEREFORE YOU MIGHT NOT GET LINDSEY'S GUITAR FROM THE LEFT SPEAKER....REFERRING TO "HIS GUITAR IS MUTED" WHICH I HEARD PERFECTLY FINE ON MY TELEVISION. WHEN YOU HEAR THE FULL STEREO MIX YOU WILL BE MUCH HAPPIER...YOU CAN ALSO HEAR THE "UH UH UH...UH UH UH..." WHICH I DIDN'T HEAR WHEN I DOWNLOADED FROM A WEBSITE. BY THE WAY I AM A NEW LEDGIE...AND HAVE BEEN A MAC FAN SINCE 76...CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEW ALBUM

It wasn't mono... I think that the input was to high and the waves got "clipped"
I know this because I recorded it. There is a new soundcard "SoundBlaster gold" on the way in case we get some more tidbits. The software that this card uses was really bad and it was a nightmare to adjust the levels.

Lightbulb Wow, I've only heard the burnish version...

...And I didn't even think the quality on that one was that great. I still thought Stevie was a bit louder than Lindsey and I'm hoping there's more guitar in there...but at least I could hear the laughing guitar part or whatever you wnt to call it . I LOVE THAT
But like I said I don't trust TV audio...and I'm sure the producers of the show tweaked it to make it sound appropriate for whatever they were doing (I didn't see the show). They probably tried to crank the vocal of the song to get the viewer to pay attention to the lyrics (maybe they were relevant to the scene) and not the busy guitar part. I still hold out lots of hope for the CD version and I'm sure I will love it as much as Lindsey's original. That Stevie harmony is just incredible. I also love what sound like some really modern percussion sounds.
GRRRRR. It's still only February !
