naturally they removed the pass prize...ridic to offer up what they should have known they couldn't fulfill...not cool.

I think it just plain sucks. For a first prize they should offer something special. Not that more than a 1000 bucks and concert tickets aren't special but you know ...

Well I think the prize, really, is having your design marketed on the tour.

Sadly though...to use here Ledgies, the backstage passes are the pudding.

Yeah, but if they are going to market the design on the tour, the Mac is going to be making money off of those shirts. You'd think they could at least say "thank you" in person for it, lol.

Indeed, and it's poignantly Not That Funny (sorry, listening to the song at the moment). This disheartening news almost tepefies my red-hot passion for winning fifth prize... almost, ahem.

I honestly don't think so. This is just a different way of marketing I guess.

I think Niki posted something from the site in an earlier post that the winners aren't just the ones with the highest votes but a combination of things.

4. How Are Winners Chosen?
Winners are chosen depending on many factors such as the number of votes the submission has received, the rate at which it has received the votes, where the votes are coming from, the comments on the submission, and where/from whom comments are coming from. If a submission is performing extremely well it will be chosen as a winner. Fraud voting is tracked and will not be considered in the overall score of a design.
