'74-'75 by The Connells. One of the greatest songs ever. Like how good many people think GYOW and Stairway to Heaven are. This isn't the best sound quality, sorry.

"Nutshell" - Alice in Chains

"We chase misprinted lies
We face the path of time
And yet I fight
And yet I fight
This battle all alone
No one to cry to
No place to call home

Given that I've recently joined the forum, I've been buying and borrowing some of the FM and solo albums that I haven't got/heard (in some cases). That way I can pretend I had them all along and no-one will know the difference.

And "gift of screws" is an absolute gem. Kicking myself for not buying it when it came out.

Though, I'm hoping that some forum old hand will come along, put a virtual hand on my shoulder, and say "It's OK, you don't have to buy 'Time'".

I've never had Time. Don't plan to. So you don't have to feel alone.

What am I listening to?

"After Midnight" from a recording of the 2/26/08 Eric Clapton/Steve Winwood concert at Madison Square Garden.

Killer show!!!!! Haven't heard Clapton play like this in nearly 40 years!!!

Haha, they are saying, "You, you have, you have me. You asked me, and I said nothing."

The chorus translates roughly to "Will you, until Death separates you, be faithful to her forever? No!"

It's a play on German wedding vows.

They have an English version of the song, but they use "du hasst" which means "you hate," so THAT one is "you, you hate, you hate me."

The Germans are not known for their amazing lyric-writing skizillz. Check out "Mutter." Or "Buck Dich," but if anyone looks up a live performance of "Buck Dich" on YouTube and is scarred for life, do not blame me.
