I would bet that with all the backing musicians and vocalists now, it would sound more like the studio track (hold mee, hold meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee versus the 1982 hold me, hold me, yeahhhhh) and like you said, without the ragged energy of 1982 gone. Still, it's a great track and it was very popular and I too would love to hear how it worked out 27 years later!
Ive always thought Lindsey could have turned it into a nice acoustic version. Keep the tuning, slow it down, close out the encore with it. Maybe I'm dreaming

Hold Me should definitely be in the set. It was a major hit, was played incessantly on MTV and hasn't be done since '82 (correct me if I'm wrong). I've never heard the version in 1982 but I agree that it could probably sound pretty darn good with the backing vocalists, instrumentalists, etc.

Correct. Although Chris did it on her 1984 whirlwind solo tour. Because people like George Hawkins & Todd Sharp were singing (instead of raggedy andys like Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham), the singing was on key & properly harmonized. But it had nothing like the wallop that FM kicked it around with.
