...right.

(you'll hear the news that they're coming to England "for sure" from a press release or an advertisement paid by the promoter, listing specific information about the show. Touts don't count- don't get your hopes up.)

why would a company put an ad in a national newspaper with many other adds promoting many other acts just to be a tout?

Theyre coming.

I don't know, maybe for the same reason one the largest ticket brokers in the UK recently advertised tickets for sale for a U2 concert date TBD, before earning rebuke from the band's management.

Fleetwood Mac will very likely play dates in the UK sometime in '09, but to suggest that an advertisement by a ticket broker somehow "confirms" it... all I'm saying is, don't get your hopes up too high.

Hi all,

New here.
Just wondering when FM's schedule is open to come to England?
Would it be this summer perhaps?
Just trying to see if I can work with my calendar...

Thanks!

Well, they still seem to be free in late June and anytime thereafter for that matter. When they listed the 29 new dates, I wondered if they would conflict with the Glastonbury rumor and they didn't. Never give up on a miracle.

I'll react again, perhaps same happens as in 2003.
That would be cool, maybe a grand tour though Europe including our Netherlands.

I have to agree with Luke here. Unless it's an official advert by the promoters I don't believe it.

Touts (or ticket brokers) advertised tickets for that Led Zeppelin O2 concert too, you know the one where it ended up that you had to enter a lottery to get tickets and only were able to buy through official channels? It happens all the time.
