I want more than to be cool in the eyes of the world. I want that portion of my paycheck that goes to government seats in Sacramento & Washington to be used sagely & sparely. It's going to take more than one man -- however popular -- to bring wise monetary administration to government. THAT'S what's going to require a miracle.

You kidding me, you are just limiting it to that? I think to keep basically everything about the government from completely falling apart would take a miracle. I think that politicians may just have to *gasp* work together! (Wait.... politicians working together, that doesn't make any sense)

Pres. Obama does have his work cut out for him. Our economy is in the toilet and that's putting it politely. Interestingly, both conservative and liberal economists seem to be in agreement that the only way out, at least in the short run, is to pump money into the economy via these federal spending projects. Yes it will run out deficit up in the short term but that's still better than watching our entire economy collapse. Sure the Repubs are going to whine and bitch and moan and groan but since they are the ones who got us into this mess the least they could do is STFU or offer up some real plans of their own instead of just pissing on Pres. Obama's.

Amen. But since the R's have little power left on Capitol Hill right now this is going to happen, so piss and moan is all they have really. And will someone tell Norm Coleman that the Minnesota Senate race is over?

Meet your next Jimmy Carter... I was getting sick of the mass hysteria.
