How have you guys done with the Presales/Onsales?

As for ILAA-don't waste your money. They can screw you royally. Believe me I finally got tired of crap seats with ILAA 5 star and did better for both the Eagles (this summer) and Def Lep last spring. The food at the parties sucked and at one venue we had to pay for our own parking (even though it was supposedly included-long story don't ask). I actually got better seats the day of or a couple days before for both the Eagles and Def Lep waiting for ticket drops. I did 4 Eagles shows this summer and the worst seat I got was 3rd row center at the Borgata. Two of the other 3 shows I had front row. The best I ever did with ILAA was 2nd row but normally got 5th.

As for meeting Mick he does the M&G much cheaper with his Uncorked Tours. I could have seen him front row with a M&G, sit down dinner with wine for $250 at a casino here in Cali a couple months ago but passed. To me ILAA is a big rip off and I can imagine what the M&G will be like. They actually gave us popcorn and hot wings for dinner at one 5 star party for Def Lep and I and a few other fans got better seats at the box office waiting for the party to start with ticket drops than we ended up getting from ILAA.

I've meet Lindsey for free and talked to both his daughter and son at a recent show this past fall in Cali. His whole family sat right behind me (for a time-again another long story). I also met Stevie and Mick (in 2001 at Az Heart Assoc. concert) and payed $1,000 and meeting Lindsey was just as thrilling if not more so because I didn't have to pay all that money. But that's just my two cents about ILAA.

That is so ironic as I know several people who found their experiencess to be life changing with ILAA... Hmm, wonder what the difference was? They are very nice people and seem easy to please. I am guessing that regardless of where I am setting the Mac will still be playing music, right? So... As long as they keep playing, I will keep paying. Regardless.

AMEX presales for Oakland, San Jose and LA all sucked. Best I got offered was row 19 in any, but with all my fiddling around ended up with row 23 in LA. I bought it only because I feel I need to buy at least one now, given I am travelling from Australia, but I note your Eagles experience Carol-Lynn and I think I will try for better tickets in SF a few days before the two concerts.

I want to get three good seats in Tacoma as I am taking my cousins in Seattle. This one doesn't have an AMEX presale but a Live Nation. Does anyone know how to get the password? I have just sent my second email to them, as I may have joined the site too late to get an email. They firstly referred me to ticketrush, but I'm not convinced it will help.

This is all quite an experience for me!

I checked this morning AMX presale for Denver- row 18 was best. No thanks. I doubt I can even go with how much tickets are but IF I do choose to, for $150 a ticket plus tax/fees I want at least first three rows or not worth it. I'll try again on the on sale day.

LiveNation presale password will probably be 'Piano'. As I said in a previous post the password is generic and will be all over the internet before the ink is dry on the email and so, that being said, I predict the tickets will suck and will be the left overs from the AMEX sale. I'd wait for ticket drops or the general sale.

Aside to Kennation:
As for having a life changing experience through ILAA they must have a pretty dull life is all I can say. You can get a better seat for less money through scalpers and IMO meeting stars is thrilling, etc. but, personally, I'm not shelling out my hard earned cash to meet a star. The Arizona Heart gig was for charity and I got a tax write-off. My father died from heart disease and the Heart Association is a charity I do support. I recently got a M&G with Jackson Browne, Joan Baez, Ry Cooder and Bonnie Raitt but that was another charity benefit concert. I'm not going to do it just to meet someone-what's the point?

Secondly, the more tickets you order the better seats ILAA gives you. Case in point, I know for a fact that for several Eagle shows at the Nokia in Oct 2007, I not only was the first person to order in one instance but found out at the show several people who ordered tickets after me got better seats than I did. They do not assign seats first come first served no matter what they tell you especially if you buy a single seat. In the old days you used to be to read how many ticket packages were available and deduce from their your place in line as you ordered by reading the source code on the ticket package page but someone shot of their big mouth and ILAA changed their source code. My point-you may get front row center and you may get 13th row (even though they say the first 10 rows as several Eagle fans found out this past summer). As another poster pointed out I'm not wasting that much money to find out at the venue the night of two hours before show-time where I'm sitting. Remember the Mac dropped primo seats last tour the day before for most Cali shows. I know cause I got them.

You can see when the individual dates go on saleon ticketmaster or livenation.

Same with me! These prices are way too steep for seats that are not in the first 10 or so rows.

Now, that's very discouraging to hear. The one advantage I thought they had over ticket brokers was that you could get a good SINGLE seat. I prefer to use a broker, but since they aren't selling single seats yet, I went with the package for Nassau Colliseum. Now that I hear this, I'm really starting to feel it was a total waste. I had a good experience with ILAA and was in the front row for the Stevie and Don show they did at DTE in Detroit........ I've never bought another package through them so that is the only experience I can go by......... and for the Fan Club I also got first row but I never got my autographed tourbook!!! A very nice Ledger who was also at the show with her husband sent me her extra--and I can't thank her enough!!

oh and I forgot to add that for the AMEX presale I pulled decent seats like 3 days into the sale...... I couldn't buy them though because I didn't have a card I ended up buying seats 13 rows back in the section next to the stage during the regular public sale...... that was also a few days after they actually went on sale. I've been checking everyday but so far nothing better has shown up..... I'm not thrilled with them but I can't afford the package or a broker this time around.. so I guess I'll just be satisfied with the fact that I have been in the first row and have had decent seats for a couple of other shows in the past........

I am thankful that someone had something positive to say about ILAA... There is very positive feedback on their site and the personal connections I have that used ILAA had wonderful things to say. I am gonna keep my head up about it and remember that people can complain about anything and frequently do.

I am sorry that you had a poor time. Hopefully, you will have a good time on this tour. I am excited about my wings, popcorn, and meeting Mick.

Thanks once again Carol-Lynn for your valuable information. It's shame that Ticketmaster etc operate like this in the US - I got a front row centre ticket (at standard price) to see Stevie on her Gold Dust tour in 2006 in Brisbane, Australia and it was part of the normal presale through Ticketmaster. The password was through Nixfix.com, so accessible to all, much like the LiveNation. Perhaps the larger market creates more greed.

Despite all this, I'm still so excited about coming to the US to see the band!

So... I read the nicksfix.com page this morning that contained the press release from Live Nation. Take a second to check it out.

In a nutshell, Jason Garner, C.E.O., Live Nation says that most of the December released dates have sold out. The success of this tour gives them hope for the 2009 concert season. I have followed nearly ALL of the dates and the sales of those dates since they were initially released for sale. I have found that second tier pricing has been more beneficial for sales. Many of the first tier ($150) are still avilable. Aas we have all noticed, Ticketmaster is releasing better seats everyday.

What does this mean to us? We cannot trust the Ticketmaster system. You can get a section "F" ticket one day and a week later get section "A"... Which makes NO flippin' sense to me. For future reference I am going to consult Stubhub, or other licensed ticket distributors, before purchasing a ticket.

HOWEVER... Tickets are selling.

In my opinion, this illustrates that regardless the price, THE MAC stands tall to entertain AND TO MAKE THAT MONEY!!!
