Jersey Boys follows Wicked in the overall rankings with a 2.96 power score. Other highlights of the list include Britney Spears, who slipped in the overall rankings from number two to number four (2.47) ahead of Elton John & Billy Joel, who hold on to their number five spot with a 2.45 power score. Rounding out the top ten are two theater shows: the Lion King (number eight, 1.56) and the Phantom of the Opera (number ten, 1.48). In the Top Theater Events rankings "Wicked," "Jersey Boys," "Lion King" and "Phantom of the Opera" have the edge, but South Pacific (number five, 5.21) and Cirque du Soleil: Wintuk (number six, 4.33) are also moving tickets. Dance-themed shows Billy Elliot (3.20) and "Dirty Dancing" (2.51) rank at numbers seven and eight. Mary Poppins debuts in the theater rankings at number nine with a 1.60 power score. The top selling shows in the Broadway rankings match those in the theater rankings, except for Broadway shows like Shrek (number seven, 2.57) and the Little Mermaid (number nine, 2.22). La Bohème closes out the Broadway top ten with a 2.04 power score. According to the Top Concert Events rankings Britney Spears is still number one with an 8.40 power score. The Eagles are at number four (4.66) and Nickelback are at number five (4.60). Jeff Dunham is back in the rankings at number six (4.06), just ahead of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (3.91). AC/DC slips from their previously held number five position to number eight (3.11) and Fleetwood Mac also slips from number six to number ten (2.79). Lil' Wayne moves up a spot to number nine, power score 3.02. The BCS National Championship Bowl is the number one sports event with a 6.42 power score. Trailing behind are the Los Angeles Lakers with a 4.64 power score and the Boston Celtics with a 3.98 power score. The Cleveland Cavaliers move to the number four spot in the sports rankings with a 3.16 power score and the New York Knicks take the number five spot (2.95), up from their previously held number nine position. The WWE comes in at number six (2.43). Hockey's New York Rangers rank at number nine (1.79) and football's San Diego Chargers rank at number ten (1.75). The Vegas top ten shows Bette Midler at number one with a 38.54 power score. Cirque du Soleil: "O" (24.32) bumps Cher to number three (13.21). Elton John: The Red Piano is still number four with a 6.79 power score. Several Vegas shows reappear in these rankings after disappearing from the Vegas top ten: Criss Angel: Believe (number seven, 1.66); Jubilee! (number eight, 1.54); Blue Man Group (number nine, 1.29); and Penn & Teller (number ten, 0.95). ....Really fcking sad.... lol. [How the music industry fails....] Anyways, I'm sure that a lot of tickets have been sold by now. I think Mohegan is pretty filled up from what I gather. No floor seats really. |
