well if you ever come across the interview, give a shout out.
I wonder where these files originated from then. i downloaded the tracks in simple mp3 format and even so they sound WAY better and CLEARER than my original cd's from Mirage and TITN

We also need an official release of ANY pre-1980 live videos. They've officially released (at one point or another) videos for every tour since Tusk, but with the exception of bootlegs, nothing from the White album or Rumours tours has been released. I really hope that they one day release the full video from the 1976 show at the University of California, Santa Barbara stadium that was partially included in the Rosebud film. There's something about outdoor daytime shows

No idea of their origin and no bonus stuff , but the clarity on both is breathtaking.
heard stuff i never noticed before (yes also on tango, and i have been playing that album let's see about 18 years)
Here's hoping for an official release down the line :-)
Could you guys describe some of the differences you're hearing as a result of the better clarity of these versions? I, too, have been listening to Mirage (my favorite Mac album) and Tango for decades, and I just can't hear any differences in these "original masters" versions. Can you describe specific places in specific songs that I should be hearing an improvement? Do I need audiophile-quality equipment in order to hear the differences?

Unfortunately, the LIVE album is like the bastard child for all band members - save for Mick, who was the only one who pushed for it. I love it! Even with the obvious sweetening here and there, it's still more raw and real than The Dance.

Surely, with all the concerts they recorded for the album, other songs must have been considered, and perhaps some were worked on in post-production. If so, however, it's unlikely they will see the light of day...or ear.

While the boxed set of RUMOURS is cool, I'd much rather see MIRAGE, TANGO IN THE NIGHT and maybe even BEHIND THE MASK remastered and enhanced! It's time!

Yes! I agree. Give us remastered '80s Mac with bonus tracks, especially Mirage!
