I love the Fleetwood Mac White album version... the keyboard solo at the end is haunting... both McVies add so much to this version...

Also the three voices on this track are amazing... better lead vocal by LB too...

Yes, it is ALL about the keyboard at the end. BN version has a great instrumental ending as well, but they don't allow it to go on long enough. Second version wins!

John wanted to. It was his idea.

Argh! I can't choose. I'm usually so decisive, but I really like the song and I take to both versions.

I heard in an interview once that John really like Crystal and wanted to record it for the white album. Even though Stevie would rather have had a new song, she didn't want to say no to John since they had just joined the band. She said she loved what Christine did with the end of the song with the organ playing. I enjoy the white album version, although the live BN version is awsome. Especially the end.

hmm...they're both great...maybe Buckingham Nicks, because I like Stevie's vocals on that version more. One of the Greatest FM songs ever...would make a great closer to the live show I'm pretty sure I can't afford to see. One of my mom's favorites, too.

Why did Stevie get Lindsey to sing led vocals on her own song? I never got that.

Quite a few people mentioning the keyboard at the end, and also john's bass works well. Interesting to hear that John requested it.

They need to add this song to the setlist for this tour!

I love the original and the BN live version, but I give serious credit to Stevies remake in 99' for the Practical Magic Soundtrack. I really like that version a lot!

Don't hate me, but (this is just me) I cannot listen to the FM Crystal. The B/N version is one of my favorite songs. Period. And I don't really like the keyboard solo at the end, I just don't see it. But then I like some songs that normal people dismiss as garbage, so what do I know?

you're not alone. I like the B/N version alot more too. But the song itself is too strong to dislike the FM-version. I don't think the keyboard fits in the feel of the song, it makes it a bit too baroque for me, but what she's playing is gorgeous in its own right...
